At the moment of conception. End of story. If nurtured outside the mother it will be have the same dna whether 1 week, 20 weeks, or 9 months of gestation. Only the viability changes with time. Abortion is just as heinous no matter when it occurs.

There can be no discussion of the subject here, other than repeating the position of the Board:

Baptist Board Posting Rules & Guidelines
This is a private Baptist board. BaptistBoard.com is run by a group of Administrators and Moderators who have volunteered to help out with the site. In addition to the User Agreement (see below), topics or posts which do not follow these guidelines face the risk of being edited or deleted altogether.

...

2. Use discretion when posting. Not all topics are beneficial or edifying to the board. Topics and/or posts that would condone racism, every form of greed, selfishness, and vice, and all forms of sexual immorality, including but not limited to adultery, homosexuality, and pornography are strictly prohibited. In addition, topics and/or posts that seek to promote clearly unscriptural and controversial social and moral positions, such as abortion, are prohibited as well. The official position of The Baptist Board is that life begins at conception. Opinions, stated as fact, that would contradict the board's position on this issue will be edited or deleted entirely...

This goes way back to some discussions of this very question nearly 20 years ago. A bunch of people were banned for having a discussion of the subject without affirming what became the official position of the Board.

The article argues for “gradual” personhood. In this theory the further along in gestation the baby is, the more of a full person it becomes.

A fertilized egg (zygote) has no personhood. A full term fetus, just prior to birth has near full personhood.

The argument she makes is that by restricting abortions to 15 weeks; prior to second trimester (when the fetus has little or no recognized personhood), pro-life policies may push pregnant women to seek abortions in states that allow later (2nd & third trimester abortions) at which point the fetus has gained more recognition as a “person” though not full recognition.

As with all other efforts to justify murder, these intellectuals (philosophers) must dehumanize the person they want the option to kill. In this case, the unborn baby. This particular philosopher seems to want credit for a partial recognition of a baby as a person given the gestational development.

peace to you

When does God view the person as being human is the only real answer, and that would be at conception!
