You know, we don’t see many bounced checks any more with debit cards. There use to be several a week in the crime blotter of the local paper.

I’ve started going to a few auctions lately. They only take cash or check, no debit. Kind of surprising. I had to find my check book.

I used to drink Mt. Dew, but, it got to where it tasted like boiled pickle juice! So, I went back to my lightly doctored coffee (use a bit of cream or non-dairy creamer at the advice of the doctor because of a bleeding ulcer...caused by Mt. Dew!) or just plain water. Dew will kill ya!

When I am at Walmart and use my card to pay - I will drop it on the counter - then state - good - it did not bounce-- the young clerk will look at me a little strange - and often the customer behind me start laughing out lout

When the debit charge clears, I’ll say, “oh thank goodness, another day with money in the bank”.

Sometimes I’ll say, “please let it clear, please let it clear”!

I usually get a smile.
