God always requires us to believe prior to salvation:

Act 11:18 When they heard these things they fell silent. And they glorified God, saying, “Then to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance that leads to life.

Joh 5:39-40 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life.

Joh 6:57 As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me.

Joh 1:12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,

Receive believe then becomes the children of God

Joh 12:36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.”

Believe then become

Gal 3:2 Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith?
Gal 3:5 Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith—

Here the Spirit is received by believing

2Co 3:16 But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed.

1Ti 1:16 But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.

Jas 1:18 Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

I don’t really disagree with anything you said that I can see.

None of that is possible without the work of God Holy Spirit in the person’s life that enables them to believe onto salvation.

peace to you

What passages says our faith is credited as righteous faith by God? Romans 4:4-5 and Romans 4:23-25.
13 verses say we receive God's blessings, including salvation by way of our credited faith. Unless you claim God bestows His blessings by way of our uncredited faith. :)

New life, of a person? Now one might ask how is the, "new," life of, one, (singular) different form the old, "life"?

Does Romans 6:9 answer that question?
According to John 3 from whence of, one, is life? The old life, of flesh and the new life of spirit?

Gal 3:16 YLT and to Abraham were the promises spoken, and to his seed; He doth not say, 'And to seeds,' as of many, but as of one, 'And to thy seed,' which is Christ;

God spoke to Abraham concerning promises (plural). This included this promise, "In thy seed [(singular) Christ] all the peoples of the earth will be blessed,"

That was the gospel which was preached to Abraham V"s 8,9 and that was the, "the faith," of Abraham

God is telling Abraham that the promise of God, who can not lie, made before time began, the hope of eternal life would come through Abraham's seed (singular) Christ. That is, the faith, of Abraham.

IMHO the death and resurrection out of the dead of Christ is the substance of hope the evidence of the unseen, Jesus the author and finisher of, the faith.

We have to be of the faith of Abraham and to be so we have to be, in Christ and we are put in Christ by being given the gift of the Holy Spirit, which is available because Jesus went away in death for three days and was then regenerated to the Spirit, glorified and received the promise of the Holy Spirit to be given the the called out ones.

The learned obedience unto death even the death of the Cross of Christ, putting his being, his Spirit, in the hands of the Father for three days is the faith through which we receive the Holy Spirit and by which we are saved.

God translates one from being of unbelief unto being of belief. IMHO

Now someone tell me what is OUR part in all the above. It kind of reminds me of what God stated concerning the New Covenant.

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Does it look like God needs your help is doing that?
