Who owns the actual building, the congregation or the governing body (not sure what that'd be called)?If memory serves, Methodist pastors get reassigned every so many years so that pastors move around quite a bit. You might get one Methodist pastor who knows Christ and preaches Christ's blood for atonement while the next person may be entirely social gospel with no blood.
For a congregation to leave and keep the facility may be difficult. At some point the congregation might have to exit the building and reconvene elsewhere.
