I am going to say that:

is on the Subject of, "SALVATION".

    fulfilled immediately, at SALVATION,
i.e., the Believer IS AS FILLED with The HOLY SPIRIT as they ever will be.

(any more or less that is 'seen'
is by The INFLUENCE of The HOLY SPIRIT
being greater or lesser (not "BY VOLUME").

    ...
And hungering and thirsting after righteousness
is when a Saved soul is Desiring, "HOLINESS", fulfilled progressively.

The ultimate fulfillment will be when we enter the eternal state. Salvation is:
    1. Justification-at belief and new birth, deliverance from sin’s penalty
    2. Sanctification-continuing lifelong, deliverance from sin’s power
    3. Glorification-the eternal state in God’s presence, deliverance from sin’s presence

Until then, we walk by faith, in the imputed righteousness of Christ, in varying (hopefully continually growing) degrees of practical holiness.

Some believe as a lost sinner, we are unable due to "Total Spiritual Inability" to believe our faith in Christ will result in eternal life. Thus if we believe in Christ is sufficient to save us, that faith was instilled by God in us because God has saved us.

Is that what you now believe? In other words if "saving faith" is "instilled by God, the so called "Gift of Faith" then it does not matter what doctrines it contains as it is the result of salvation.

I'm not sure how much believed doctrine is necessary for salvation, but yesterday or today I returned to the view that it is by faith in Jesus for eternal life, which I never really abandoned. However, I was considering and believing Lordship Salvation, because I wasn't sure what the right doctrine was.

Who do you see as your Lord?

    Are you trusting Him?

Do you seek to obey Him?

I trust in Jesus as my Savior, who is God the Son.

I often pray to God, asking Him to cause me to walk in His ways, but I'd been having a hard time memorizing commandments, when I'd been reading them in my Bible.

I don't trust in my works.

Then claim Him as your Lord, too. Even Bob Dylan said, "Everybody's gonna have to serve somebody; it might be the devil, and it might be the Lord, but you're gonna have to serve somebody." Claim Him by faith as your Saviour and your Lord, and don't be concerned about the naysayers. Just live to please Him, recognizing, yes, we all drop the ball sometimes, but perfection is not our possession; it's our direction. Pick it up and go again.

John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

I try to reevaluate my positions several times a year in detail. But it is also ongoing. Even though I may posts may appear to reflect stubbornness, I am actually looking for challenges to my view. IMHO this board can be an excellent tool (as long as we are open to allowing our understanding to be challenged).
