That's why I carry my little Fire Dept pager when I'm out and about in my county, even when I'm outside of my fire district. Due to our remoteness my county actually dispatches "any medical responders in the area" in addition to the first due fire department. Some career Firefighters (FF) that don't know what it's like to live out here give Volunteers grief for carrying a pager around, but the career FFs just don't get the lack of manpower in rural areas.

If I'm near a vehicle wreck with injuries I can't just NOT help the patient. And my reasoning is the same as yours. Plus the times when I can't save a patient and they die on me I can try and share the gospel with them if they're not ODed on drugs.

Do you also rejoice with them?

    Stupid question.

We grieve because a human life is now dead.

We don't rejoice in sin, but we can eat and drink with sinners, just as Jesus did.

YES - When they repent and accept the Lord Jesus as Saviour.

Not at all. It provides the context out of which Salty wrested the phrase.

Do you roam the streets weeping over the obituaries?

And not all mourning is hallowed.

And we mourn with them as they mourn their sin. Not all mourning is hallowed.

We should respond as the disciples were instructed to consider the tower of Siloam. They are not worse sinners, and unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
