Here’s where everyone was freaking out

Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

Herod was always in trouble w Rome due to several uprisings. That’s why Rome had the 10th Fretensis Division there (I think that’s right)

anyways 50-60 people or more show up riding Arabs and people take notice in a small town like that

It says they fell down and worshipped Him, a separate and distinct act from the presentation of their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

But the significance of those gifts is immediately apparent to one with a good understanding of the role of the Messiah.

It wasn't the arrival of the party, it was their words that troubled him. When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. Matthew 2:3

That being said, I'm sure it lent context to their appearance. ;)

Herod was schizo. Seriously. Who was King in Judea? Herod.

he thought there was about to be a rebellion

To say the gift offerings must be considered separate and distinct from the bowing in worship to the point that there is no connection whatsoever is a considerable stretch, and certainly not an opinion to impose on anyone else. When the magi spoke with Herod, they said they came to worship the one born king of the Jews.

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” Matthew 2:1-2

    And Seraphims too... Brother Glen;)

Isaiah 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
