No, you cannot generalize the churches. What you do here is just awful.

I wish I were in error! I remember the older generations who would tell me they had something that would take them to heaven. And smile a little as they said it. I have often wondered where the carnality of many will take them these days. While at the latest Baptist sponsored breakfast l listened to a young man testify how he worked his way up to chiropractor. He married a woman who had been divorced and talked of the trials of that relationship. I also imagined the family in much debt.

There are many evils in this generation that I have not seen in times past.

Add to the “evils of this generation” people that go to prayer meetings and “imagine” all sorts of evil with the people they are supposedly there to pray with.

You are pharisaical in your “judgments” of people while slandering those with biblical education and understanding.

I think you fit your own definition in this thread. You have just enough religion to be pharisaical and make yourself miserable judging other professing Christians.

    peace to you

Your wish has been granted!!! Your generalizations about the churches are wrong.
Nice to see that one's cleared up.

Finally, canady is correct. Your judgments of others is pharisaical on your part.

@canadyjd @AustinC ... Glad these generalizations are not obvious in your parts of the world. Be blessed in your work and ministry.

Do you live in another dimension?
What you are talking about is not reality.

How is your own statement that you “imagine” evil is going on in people’s lives not pharisaical?

Truly, brother, you should stop worrying yourself with other people’s “imagined” shortcomings and work in your own walk with Christ.

It is hard for me to “imagine” that someone being led by God Holy Spirit would engage in this kind of behavior.

    peace to you

Ecclesiastes 7:10. 'Do not say, "Why were the former days better than these?" For you do not enquire wisely concerning this.'

I hope they are better than these! And... "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.: - Hebrews 11:6

I have been visiting a variety of churches. In many cases there are just few older folks. In which... I wonder the impact of Covid as many seem to visit the churches online instead of in person.

    @rockytopia,
Take heart, brother! God's work cannot and will not fail. On the Last Day, there will be in heaven a vast crowd, so huge that no one can number it, of every nation tribe, people and tongue. And I refuse to believe that someone on that Great Day will say, "Not many here from East Devon!" (where I live).

There are many people in Britain praying for revival, and there are some grounds for hope. Although the big denominations (Church of England, Church of Scotland, Methodists, Baptist Union, URC) are in a state of terminal decline due to their apostasy, Bible-believing churches of all types are starting to show growth. Find some like-minded Christians and start a prayer meeting for revival. It can be done on Zoom if there are not enough people locally.

I will give that a thumbs up. I believe the Laodicean church was birthed here in America….

    14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. - Revelation 3:14-22

What? The Laodicean church was birthed in....Laodicea, not the United States. Now, your church, where you attend, may exhibit similar traits to the church in Laodicea, but this doesn't mean it was birthed in your church.
Moreso, your huge generalization is an arrogant slap in the face to every church in the world today that is fighting for the faith. With members being martyred for the faith, do you really imagine Jesus is calling them "Laodicean?" Come on rocky, you know better than this.

If I could lay out an example of a Philadelphian church age service I would do it here in a thread I just posted in...

rocky, you have pitched this false teaching as long as you have been here. Get this through your head. You are dead wrong on this view. You are disgracing the name of Christ with your teaching and disrespecting churches all around the world, today, by making false claims. Stop it. What you teach is not from God.

And along with George Clark Rankin I must cry... "During these forty-five long years, with their alternations of sunshine and shadow, daylight and darkness, success and failure, rejoicing and weeping, fears within and fightings without, I have never ceased to thank God for that autumnal day in the long ago when my name was registered in the Lamb's Book of Life." - Revival among Confederate troops during Civil War

Thanking God I had my revival in the old Confederate way!

Cry what you will, your thinking doesn't make you anymore correct regarding the churches in Revelation.

Revelation... I could be wrong! But it was my best bet. Please note that the folk did not come off of Noah's Ark in any kind of denominational form. The church has changed with history.

Honestly, are you drunk? Nothing you say has any connection to anything. You just seem to type and you don't even know what you are typing. Are you taking a medication that's making it hard for you to concentrate? Do you need some help? I have no clue what point you are trying to make.

News for ya, you're not one of the folks in that upper room there rocky. You're much more like the crew in Corinth that Paul kept trying to correct.
