The first issue is the teaching. Which does have a Biblical base of a sort.. . . invited Christ into . . . heart . . .
As if we can cause it by our works.. . . hrough her everyday deeds and actions . . . .
Someone wrote the obit to focus on her good deeds. They probably didn’t have a good understanding of theology. That doesn’t necessarily mean she believed the same thing.Reading an obit and it stated in part:
"she invited Christ into her heart through her everyday deeds and actions"

I wouldn’t read too much into it.

This, of course, is possible. But it is also possible that we are reading a literal context into those words that may not be authentic to their composition.The one that wrote it didn't understand ...
