Aliens

Recently some have indicated it is reasonable to consider Aliens as the source of unidentified objects in the sky.

Just as a primer: Our nearest star system is more than 4 light-years away. Lets assume someone (aliens) could travel at one tenth the speed of light, it would take about 40 years for a one way trip.

And how fast is that? About 67 million miles per hour.

Get the picture?

We will in the foreseeable future travel to other planets or moons within our solar system, but as yet as far as we know, travel to other systems is not in the cards.

They landed long ago and built balloons.

The fastest object ever build by man reached a speed of about .05 light speed or about 335,000 miles per hour. If the earth was created 7000 years ago, aliens would needed to start then to be arriving now at .05% light speed.

I know lots of people buy lotto tickets and believe in Aliens, but advocates of truth should not encourage them.

. . . speed of about .05 light speed or about 335,000 miles per hour.
I believe you have your decimal place off a few zeros. 33,500,000 miles per hour for about .05 the speed of light. To make sure I wasn't off. I Checked it 3 times.

Now 335,000 miles per hour is about .0005 the speed of light.

I think you are right. Quick math…. 1/10 speed of light is about 690 million miles an hour.

I agree with Van, though, the distances are too great and the forces a physical body would have to endure to reach that speed would turn us into a spacesuit full of goo.

peace to you

Unless noncausality time travel to the past was possible. Being able to travel great light year distances could otherwise only be practical for travelers. A location any number of light years away would take double that time plus double the time at less than the speed of light to travel the round trip. It always takes the travelers less time for the round trip.

It gives new meaning to, “are we there yet?”

“No dear, we have 487 more years to the next bathroom break. Go back to sleep.”

peace to you

The talk in the media about UFO's are to distract from something, like the report by a highly respected pulzer prize journalist proving we bombed the Nordstream Pipeline.

The US for some godless reason is trying to start WW III.

Russia is the good guy. Who woulda thunk it? Especially 40 yrs ago

Yes, I see I left off the % sign the first time I referenced the .05% light speed, but not the second time in post #3. The percent number is correct. 0.05 % = 0.0005

The fastest object ever build by man reached a speed of about .05 % light speed or about 335,000 miles per hour. If the earth was created 7000 years ago, aliens would needed to start then to be arriving now at .05% light speed.

And I had missed that.
