I read an interview with Kelsey Grammer who plays Chuck Smith. I was unimpressed with Grammar as he spoke of reading the Bible. He grew up in Christian Science so he's already living in a cult perspective of Christianity. His take on Chuck Smith was very generic. From the interview I determined it would be best to wait for it on streaming.

I just saw this film on Netflix. It's a well done movie worth seeing. It reminds me that God uses flawed people.

What I have found interesting is that when Calvary Chapel began (I witnessed it) in a tent in Costa Mesa, CA., it was very Pentecostal/Charismatic. Lots of 'tongues, healings, etc.. Today I have attended various Calvary Chapel services (including Harvest Christian Fellowship, Greg Laurie's church) in Riverside, CA. There is NO signs of Pentecostalism or 'gifts of the Spirit'. Anyone know what happened?

They grew in faith so that they didn't need signs in order to know God was at work.
