Social Gospel

It’s not really the gospel of Jesus Christ. The purpose, as I understand it, is to use the government to mandate certain ideology and action which may or may not promote the cause of Christ in the world.

When combined with “situational ethics” you always end up with a “ends justified the means” mentality.

Currently, this is rampant in college campuses were young people believe any view that differs from theirs is “violence” and any violence that is used to shut down those views is “free speech”.

It applies to the entire political spectrum.

peace to you

Union Theological Seminary in NYC is a perfect example of what is wrong with the Social Gospel. The 'seminary' not only has no interest in anything put the 'historical Jesus' but denies his divinity, resurrection, and virgin birth. The president of the seminary has doubts that the God of the bible exist and nothing being taught at this 'school' has any relevance to real Christianity.

Nor does Jones believe in Heaven, Hell or an afterlife. Asked what happens when people die, Jones responded, “I don’t know! There may be something, there may be nothing. My faith is not tied to some divine promise about the afterlife.”

Jones gives an answer very much in line with Masonic traditions, I know their kind.
I was talking to Jesus alone in the Church time and a bloke walks in, and a powerful voice said to me “ Freemason “.
When I stood and looked at him he started shaking and asked if the Knights of the Southern Cross meeting was here.
All I was compelled to do was point to the door, and here ran out with a fear filled look on his face.

There’s no doubt they are true enemies of The Lord.
