Sorry if I said I was "not talking about Scripture", per se. I am being Scriptural, (per Calvinism) logically. It's just that I don't believe the Calvinist position is Scriptural. But if Calvinism were Scriptural, and if death were as Calvinism describes, then logically (and then Scripturally also) one cannot sin after salvation just as much as he could not seek God before salvation. You understand?

Secondly, if it seemed as if I was "mocking" Calvinism, I did not intend it to seem that way. I am merely pointing out if before salvation one had Total Inability to seek God because they were dead to God, then logically and Scripturally, it follows as true that after salvation one would have Total Inability to sin because they are now dead to sin. In fact, the latter is more logically true than the former, IMO.

If dead is dead, then it has to work both ways, but if we admit we still sin after salvation, then "dead" doesn't mean "dead" the way Calvinism portrays it, and that means "dead to God" people can seek God (and are even commanded by God to do so) just the same as saved people will at times sin again.

I think I've made that abundantly clear, and may I add that I recently read the rules and this thread is not supposed to be discussing Calvinism. It's a simple thread--in a world where you can be anything, be kind. Isn't that a fruit of the Spirit? Let's not complicate it. You're either kind as a Christian, or you are not. Your choice, and mine. I hope to be kind, and speak the truth in love. If I do fail, I regret it. I've no intent to be rude, especially to those of the household of faith.

My brother, this guy is delusional….he will deny anything you point out as off putting and continue with his whine about his innocence. Don’t waste your time.

My point was one should not blame God for one’s own failures.

My point was "Both our works AND our faith are fruits of being 'born of the Spirit'. Neither are 'of ourselves'."

...and then you made your knee-jerk UNKIND remark.

(but no worries, my skin is really really thick. Just trying to make a point here :))

    You replied:
".Blame God for your every failure and every fault."

In my mind I was giving God the glory for what I am.

In your mind I was blaming God...for whatever.

Just goes to demonstrate how deep the gulf that lies between our beliefs.

I don’t know of anyone that holds to the reformed position that believes God makes people sin.

    Peace to you
