The connection between covenant and sacrifice

Can any covenant between man and God be confirmed (in the sense of ratified) without a blood sacrifice?
Many such covenants involve a blood sacrifice (Noah, Abraham, Moses).
But no mention of a sacrifice is made regarding the Davidic covenant (2Sa.7/1Ch.17) which is indeed called covenant in other scriptures.
My specific question is: can a covenant be renewed without a blood sacrifice?

Interesting question.
I cannot think of anything in God's word that requires a blood sacrifice for a covenant. With reference to the Noahic Covenant, Noah offers his sacrifice (first mention of an altar BTW) in Genesis 8:20, but the covenant is not announced until Genesis 9:9. I'm not sure what one can draw from that save that the covenant follows the sacrifice rather than being ratified by a sacrifice.

I don't suppose that helps at all, but it's the best I can do.

Yes but 8:21 is covenantal, it's simply spelled out to man in chapter 9.
