Yet another post directed at me, insulting me, and running from the topic.
Does scripture clearly and repeatedly teach the lost sometimes seek God? Yes!!!
Luke 13:24 says "many seek the narrow way that leads to life but do not find it. That means one, they were seeking and two, they were not being compelled by irresistible grace. Full Stop

Who, at the Baptist Board, actually agrees with @Van s claims?

I am done showing the Bible verses that repeatedly rebuke his claims. At this point there is no value in me responding. Instead, I wonder what other people think about the claim from Luke 13:24 that sinners sometimes seek God on their own with no work by God to bring them to him.

I don't intend on responding to the poster on this subject anymore, but I would be interested in others and their views.

An introduction to the Book of Ephesians?
    1) Does the introduction, Ephesians 1:1-14, say Jesus has saved His people as the sermon claims? Nope

    Ephesians 1:1 NASB
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To the saints who are at Ephesus and are faithful in Christ Jesus:
    ____________
Footnote: Some early manuscripts do not contain "at Ephesus"

So even if the letter was written to existing "saints" the purpose of the Apostles chosen by Christ is to make new saints, people who will become saved. So the actual doctrine is Jesus has saved and is saving His people.

    2) Is belief the result of having righteousness imputed to us? Nope

    Eph 1:13 NASB
In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of the promise,

Here the opposite truth is taught, after hearing and believing the gospel of your salvation, then the believers were "sealed in Him." Not the other way around.

    3) Does God "know" the sins of the saints? Nope God has forgiven our sins and promised to remember them no more forever. Hebrews 9:12

    4) Is the introduction to Ephesians "gibberish" to the lost? Nope Certainly gibberish to those of the "soil number 1" hardened hearts, and those who "know" another doctrine of god. But a "few" will find the narrow path that leads to life, and scripture can lead them there. See Galatians 3:24

5 Has Jesus "satisfied" God for the sins of the whole world? Nope Jesus has provided the means of satisfaction of God for the sins of the whole world, all of humanity.

    6) Is the "world" (1 John 2:2) referring to the elect? Nope. The audience is believers and non-believers, as "world" refers to the inhabitants of the whole world, all mankind.

    7) The many will seek to find the narrow way that leads to life, but not be able to find it.

    Luke 13:24
“Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because I tell you, many will try to enter and won’t be able

    British Israelism - CDAMM
    British Israelism:

    Introduction

British-Israelists are defined by their belief that the lost tribes of Israel are identical with the white, Protestant peoples of Northern Europe. This belief is informed by several different strands of thought and incorporates elements of Protestant apocalypticism, British nationalism, New Age belief, and racial pseudo-science............

    Is this your identity theologically?

Exactly! You are likely from the family of Japheth, not Shem. Nothing will change that as long as you live on earth.

Ge 9:19 These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.

You are missing the point. The claim of some is that they become the sons of Jacob when they become Christians and call themselves Israelites. The scriptures do not teach such. This is what some here have been claiming for themselves.

Understanding the metaphors of scriptures will prevent mixing them.

Jesus is saving His people, one sinner at a time, thus He has not yet "saved" past tense all of His people. When the number is reached, then the age of grace will come to a close and Jesus will return.

The introduction did a nice job with the meaning of "repentance" explaining the idea is not we stop sinning before salvation, or even after we continue to do what would be sinful except for the blood of Christ. Christ takes us as we are, worts and all. Thus repentance refers to a change in our mental characteristic, i.e. from going the way we think best, to going the way our Lord instructs. Putting our trust in Him, rather than ourselves. Anyone who says it is easy probably is not carrying their cross.
