Prayer request for my cat

    Hi everyone, I am not too familiar with this website so if I have this in the wrong thread I am sorry. I was hoping to get some prayers from fellow believers. My cat was diagnosed with cancer about two months ago. We had surgery to remove it but they did not get it all and we were told it was highly aggressive and would spread. We simply plan on letting him live his life until it’s his time. That being said, this weekend I noticed a lump on his leg and one on his neck, and now he is beginning to show signs of lethargy and a decreased appetite. I am just so devastated. I knew this was going to happen but its all going so fast and I am just not ready. If anyone sees this, please please pray for him. I am still praying for healing, God works miracles even today. Please pray that, if God wills it, he will heal my baby. Even if it’s just for a few extra, pain free months. Ultimately, please pray that he doesn’t suffer for a second and that my family and I can have a sense of peace through this all. I know he is not a person, but he means so much to me, my heart is breaking every minute of the day right now. Thank you to anyone who reads this and God bless.

    A couple of years ago I found my daughters dog in our backyard laying on her side, gasping for breath. I took her to the vet and was told her heart was giving out, she couldn’t survive and it was time to put her out of her suffering.

    I cried like a baby as they put her down, I didn’t even realize I was crying until the vet put her hand in my shoulder to comfort me.

    Pets are family to many. I have prayed for your cat not to suffer and for you and your family to find God’s peace in the midst of this.

    I didn't see this until now (the beginning of January). I hope that you are doing alright considering. It's so hard to let them go. But if there's one thing that I can offer to you, it's that our pets are not ours. They belong to God. And when it's time for them to go home, the best we can do for them is to shorten their suffering.

    My heart goes out to you and I truly hope that you are taking care of yourself during this time of grief and loss.
