John MacArthur's behavior is TOTALLY UNBIBLICAL! He and his church are TOTALLY WRONG!

A DISGRACE to the Body of the Lord Jesus Christ!

"David Gray, once a teacher on staff at the church, went on to be sentenced for his crimes in 2005: aggravated child molestation, corporal injury to a child, and child abuse. Witnesses and victims backed his wife’s account of the abusive behavior, while church leaders continued to defend him, according to court documents referenced and posted with the March 2022 Roys Report article. David Gray remains in prison"

    Time does not matter

JM is clearly wrong and unbiblical in what he has said and done

Are you agreeing with JMs position

    Justice’ in Abuse Case
While a former leader hopes for change, women who sought refuge in biblical counseling at John MacArthur’s church say they feared discipline for seeking safety from their abusive marriages.

I don’t know all the circumstances and neither do you. This “event” occurred in 2002. According to the story, this woman didn’t know about the child abuse. She separated from her husband because he was abusive to her. He was a music leader in the church.

Apparently JMac tried to reconcile the couple, which is biblical. We don’t know if there was counseling. We don’t know how many times she met with the elders, or if she met with them at all.

There is no indication JMac attempted to protect this man.

This story is about church discipline. She refused to take an abusive husband back and JMac publicly shamed her and told the congregation to treat her as an unbeliever.

One of the elders involved has recently resigned and believes JMac and the church should publicly apologize for how the woman was treated.

I would never counsel a woman to stay in an abusive relationship, nor would I publicly shame her for separating from such a man

All that said, it is quite a leap to declare JMac unfit for Christian ministry.

    peace to you

I completely disagree with John MacArthur's views in support of the false doctrines of Calvin. However, I am quite willing to leave Church discipline to John's Elders and those supporting his ministry.

so you think that JMs theology is wrong; and his dealing with other Christians, even though totally unbiblical, is to be ignored?

Did I say or suggest Church disciple was not warranted? Nope.

Please, please, please stop making false charges in the form of questions, when the answer is obvious.

Show me a Pastor without faults, and I will show you deception. If those faults disqualify the Pastor, scripture gives the authority to the local Elders and congregation.

If the story linked is accurate, the Pastor (Dr. MacArthur) asked the Elder to resign. Now that indicates the Pastor does not report to and is not subordinate to the Elders. Not the biblical model. In the Biblical model the "Elders" are a self governing board, subordinate to the membership. If a Pastor or one of their Elders has disqualified themselves, then the board, acting as the governing body would require the action or ask the congregation to take the action by vote.

Show from the links I have posted, and do your own searches online, and then show that I am wrong!

Quit trying to "support" those who ABUSE others!

You are making an unfounded, slanderous accusation that JMac was “supporting the elder that was abusing his family” and posting a link suggesting JMac knew this man was a sexual abuser and pedophile.

I demonstrated from the link the issue was church discipline at the time JMac was involved. The wife and mother stated she didn’t know about the sexual abuse until later.

Quit slandering a godly man because you don’t agree with his doctrine.

It is shameful what you are doing.

    peace to you

Do you know why the wife was kicked out of his church?

Because she dared JM by divorcing her ABUSIVE husband!

The husband was CONVICTED of CRIMES and jailed!

JM knew and even rejected what one of his own Deacons wrote in his report!

    Now prove this wrong
