Favorite Commentary on Galatians

Commentary recommendations should be dependent upon the purpose of the reader.
For simple study, a devotional commentary, even a historical one is worthwhile.
For pastoral/teaching use one would want a expositional commentary or a semi-technical one.
I like:
New American Commentary, Galatians
Broadman & Holman, 1994

Any opinions on M Luther’s commentary on Galatians
A quote from Timothy George’s Commentary on Galatians in the NAC.
“…it will come as no surprise that this commentary is in some ways little more than a footnote to the magisterial studies of this Pauline letter by Martin Luther and John Calvin in the sixteenth century. It is not that the reformers were more learned or more holy than others who came before or after them, but rather that the decisive theological conflict of their age so closely paralleled that of the apostle Paul that they were able to interpret his writings with penetrating insight and extraordinary power”. James Haldane - An Exposition on the Epistle to the Galatians.
Why? Because his exposition is faithful to the gospel of Christ - salvation by the free sovereign grace of God, based on the merits and finished work of Christ alone.
As an example, I would point to pages 120-121 on Galatians 3:6 in this pdf:

My favorite isn't a written volume but a set of audio recordings of a verse by verse bible study done over several weeks by the late Pastor Bob Enyart. By listening through it, you'll learn more in a few hours about the book of Galatians and Paul's ministry and gospel than you might ever learn on your own and you can do it while driving in your car back and forth from work or wherever.
Pastor Enyart's teaching style is engaging and he's very good at bringing out details that are easily overlooked and he's great about being very thorough when it comes to covering relevant biblical material on a particular subject.
It's available for purchase for about $30 depending on if you want to download the MP3 file or get it on a CD. Here's a link....

One of the best written on Galatians, is by Dr Joseph Lightfoot. Not many can compare to the sheer depth of his comments!

Biblically, God knows all that He wants to know of that which is knowable. The doctrinal term "omniscient" is not a biblical term and the teaching is mostly derived from Aristotle's ideas about God and is logically derived from his doctrine of immutability which is flat out anti-biblical.

Why must God be a know-it-all in order to be God? The bible doesn't teach that! Aristotle taught it! Augustine believed Aristotle over the bible and refused to become a Christian until his mother's bishop (Ambrose) explained that the bible can be interpreted in light of Aristotelian truth. Augustine converted and started writing prolifically and now you believe that God has to be a know-it-all because of Augustine and you will almost certainly use Aristotle's arguments to support it because no other arguments exist.

there are several though they would never admit it.
what they believe about God and His unknowing the future makes them just that, but they do not make that connection
...and/or Pelagians.

Open theism is wrong (imo) but not heretical.

Then He most definitely CANNOT be Almighty God!
To deny ANY or ALL of these is the HIGHEST HERESY!
There are NO exceptions

It is NEVER ACCEPTABLE to question someone's salvation relative to "interpretation/preferences" of doctrine. If false doctrine is taught, it will be stopped, but assumption is always that the BB member is simply not educated or confused, perhaps using poor word-choices, and not "doomed to eternal hell". Phrases like "If you were as spiritual as I am, you'd believe xyz" is another such put-down not tolerated.
Let’s return to YOUR FAVORITE COMMENTARY ON GALATIANS.
