What Does “Train Up” Mean in Proverbs 22:6?

    I really don’t like the threads where someone simply posts an article or video source and nothing else. IMO. It’s lazy.
    And it’s becoming common.

    Here’s a synopsis of the article above:

    The Hebrew word used for “train up” here is most often translated as “dedicate.”

    1 Kings 8:63b (ESV): So the king and all the people of Israel dedicated the house of the Lord.

    2 Chronicles 7:5b (ESV): So the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.

    So it’s not the process but the purpose of raising the child.

    Raise them up to seek after God and they will not depart from his path.
