It's 'milk' in the context, not 'spiritual milk'.

No. The 'milk' was given to babes in Christ, not the natural man.

1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, as unto babes in Christ.
    2 I fed you with milk, not with meat; for ye were not yet able to bear it: nay, not even now are ye able;
3 for ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you jealousy and strife, are ye not carnal, and do ye not walk after the manner of men? 1 Cor 3

LOL, "but as unto carnal" is right there in the text. Those without the Spirit and those who have not had the Spirit for long can still understand spiritual milk, but not spiritual solid food.

When Paul spoke to "men of flesh" using spiritual milk, he did so because "men of flesh" could understand the gospel.

Obviously "milk" refers to spiritual milk, the fundamentals of the gospel.

LOL, Christians can be carnal, don't you know that? Are you a babe?

Note the effort to rewrite the verse and deny Paul spoke "as to men of flesh" rather than to men of Spirit.

Golden Corral Christians take from scripture what they like and leave the rest as if it had no effect.

This is Vanology at its best (or worst?), the context strongly refutes your notion that "those without the Spirit" can understand spiritual things:

12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man`s wisdom teacheth, but which the Spirit teacheth; combining spiritual things with spiritual words.
14 Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Cor 2

Did anyone say those without the Spirit can understand all spiritual things? Nope

Does scripture indicate those without the Spirit can understand spiritual milk? Yes indeed!!

    1 Corinthians 9:22 (NASB)
To the weak I became weak, that I might gain the weak; I have become all things to all people, so that I may by all means save some.

Paul spoke using spiritual milk 'as to men of flesh." Therefore Paul knew those without the Spirit could understand some spiritual things, but not spiritual solid food.

Note the incessant effort to take vague and ambiguous phrases (the things) and claim this means all the things!!
This shows a blatant disregard for discerning the contextual meaning of these open ended phrases.
When Paul spoke to "men of flesh" using spiritual milk, he did so because "men of flesh" could understand the gospel.
Obviously "milk" refers to spiritual milk, the fundamentals of the gospel.

The poster edited my post to misrepresent my view. So much for having Christ as a model.

Does scripture indicate those without the Spirit can understand spiritual milk? Yes indeed!!
Thus the biblical position is not that the lost can understand all spiritual things, the false claim of this presenter of wholesale falsehood, but just the spiritual milk things like the fundamentals of the gospel.

Babes in Christ do not receive the spiritual solid food of the Spirit of God because they have yet to mature to the point they can understand spiritual solid food. Thus they are in the same boat as men of flesh, people without the discernment gained by maturing under to tutelage of our Helper.

Just read 1 Corinthians 3:1-3 and Paul makes clear that everybody starts out with the ability to grasp spiritual milk, but it takes being indwelt, and maturing under the tutelage of our Helper, the Holy Spirit, before we can grasp spiritual solid food.

Such a basic concept of Christianity, and poster after poster seems to know nothing of this fundamental truth. Could it be solid food?
