    I should have waited on posting this until I had the complete content. Here it is below. We are now in Brasileia, Acre, Brazil, going back and forth over the bridge to Cobija, Bolivia. We balked at paying the ridiculous visa fee for entering Bolivia, 160 dollars for each of us! But, as is the case with border towns, we are allowed to walk across that far at least. I plan to write about these places too, but probably after all the Peru ones are done - if ever.

    Thank you, Rob. I hope to add more as soon as I have time. The owner of this little hotel says he is a Christian. He has a board with Psalm 89 on it.

    I wasn't impressed. Ours was so smothered in sauces. It was unremarkable. Much better were the palm oil grubs we had in Ecuador on the same general trip. Now those tasted exactly like delicious charred steak fat.

    I thought they might taste like rabbit or squirrel. I’ve eaten lots of those. Skillet fried with gravy and biscuits, hmm…
