Really wished we could do so much better than Trump/Vance and Harris/Walz! Really wished we could vote on morals and values rather than parties.
God uses, and has used, evil that men do to accomplish His plan.To give credit to the smears used to tarnish opponents is to support demonic campaign practices.
What will Trump try to do?
1) Close the border
2) Defund Iran
3) Strengthen American manufacturing of critically needed items, such as pharmaceuticals and defense chips.
What will Harris try to do?
1) Green New Deal
2) Flip Red States Blue by having migrants vote.
3) Support teacher's Union policies that make our schools to no effect.
Always remember this, God uses "broken reeds" to support His ministry. We all fall short of what God would have us think and do.
God uses, and has used, evil that men do to accomplish His plan.
The problem is when we look at Joseph's brothers as the heros for selling him into slavery because God used this in His plan.
The "powers of darkness" are not, actually, a part of God's ministry. They may, however, be a part of His plan.
I am not saying you advocated anything.
1) Was doing evil advocated? Nope
2) Was the fact that God sometimes uses the powers of darkness to accomplish His purpose at issue? Nope
3) Does scripture clearly and repeatedly indicate Christians to act against the forces of darkness in the world? Yes
The Democrat Party has aligned itself with the forces of darkness and Christians should act in unity to oppose their agenda of godless behavior.
Is the poorly thought out plan to leave Afghanistan the central issue facing our choice of which political party to support? Nope. Is returning the lawfulness of abortion to state legislation the main issue? Nope
Is weaponizing the Department of Justice? Nope. Are the non-stop false charges against Trump, such as Russian collusion, or the "Steel Dossier?" Nope
We should not align ourselves with those who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. We have two jobs to do, strive to become more Christ-like, and act effectively as Ambassadors of Christ with the ministry of reconciliation. Full Stop
One way we can know many Republicans have suppressed the truth in unrighteousness- just as the DNC does - is their policy of hypocrisy.
I always voted, but over the last couple of decades struggled with the practice. Either way you end up supporting a "power of darkness".Bureaucracy, I hate it.
I see politics today as Bureaucracy. Either way, if patriotic, do not sabotage or set out to destroy our nation. For me, this realization occurred in the Armed Service, the President and Commander and Chief are the same person but different aspects. I no longer had the right to question or speak freely about the Commander and Chief while in uniform. Since then the image of armed service members might of changed, however, I prefer to stay clear of politics. I am debating whether to vote, my main concern at this time was the voting record and the privacy thereof, especially if voted party has not won. Once targeted always targeted. I hate this Socialist state of government today and see socialized medicine as the main developer of Liberal ideology in local and state wide academia. At this point in life I couldn't care less about political opinion and is why I try to steer clear of such debates.
I have two flags flying in front of my house and one is not the Trump flag. However, my heart is symbolized most after One. Though the Star of David represent Israel, the flag also represents the House of David, the L-RD is my shield :

Reading the apologetics of the early church, explaining to Roman pagans why they abstain from politics, I have grown more to appreciate their position. If Rome had not made its government "Christian" there is a possibility Christians would have maintained those original values.
That does not mean we, who abstain, have no right to comment on the world. But it means our stand is different and our observation is related to discernment rather than trying to make the World behave properly.
I guess one of the main questions one must ask is what exactly are they trying to accomplish by supporting a secular political power.
It isn't spreading the gospel. It isn't standing for Christ. It isn't standing in His Word.
It is making the World less the enemy of God that Scripture describes it to be.
In the US we have 2 major parties. Which is more dangerous to America? The DNC (obviously).
BUT which is more dangerous to the church?
The wolf that does not disguise its appearance but openly embraces the demonic (the DNC)....or the wolf that wears sheep's clothing (the GOP)?
As a Christian I believe we have to decide exactly who it is that we will serve. I don't believe we can serve two masters.
The issue is whether to stand united against the enemies of Christ.SNIP

I agree. Christians need to be salt and light. The issue is whether to stand united against the enemies of Christ.
Two wrongs do not make a right, your false claim we cannot support the GOP because they are not perfect is ludicrous. We are to do everything we can to stand firm against the powers of darkness.
I like the idea of libertarianism (to an extent). @KenH recently posted a link to an article by Chase Oliver. In a perfect world, maybe a century and a half ago, that may have worked.Libertarian or Independent sounds more appealing every day. Until then, Constitutional Conservative will do for me. GOP doesn't always receive my vote, sometimes I do not vote. Needlessly said, Liberal and Democrat parties are out of the equation.

Because of my work I also see that many of the government oversight we have is needed (just from the nuclear industry).I agree, autonomous will could never work for the majority not even in a far fetched theocracy. You'll be like god..... knowing good and evil. That is, from the forked tongue, sovereign, able to rule over self, and discern righteously. And as we know throughout the Genesis account to the Sages the Prophets came Judges because Libertarianism failed (what was right in the eyes of every person).

But I do like getting rid of or reducing many federal level things (give education back to the state, for example).
I don’t follow your logic. Please explain.Apology to the "World?", the World should be thanking them!
