    Snippet from Internet:

Broadly speaking, one might say that salvation is the overriding theme of the entire Bible. But since it is a multidimensional theme with a wide range of meaning, simple definitions are impossible. The biblical writers speak of salvation as a reality with at once spiritual and physical, individual and communal, objective and subjective, eternal and historical dimensions. Since the biblical writers view salvation as a historical reality, the temporal dimensions of past, present, and future further intensify and deepen the concept. Salvation is a process with a beginning and an end. Further, salvation involves the paradox of human freedom and divine election. Despite the complexity of these dimensions, the Bible constantly speaks about salvation in the context of some very simple and concrete relationships — between humans and God, between human beings, and between human beings and nature.

On the other hand "salvation" can be defined as being transferred into Christ's spiritual body. Thus the person is described as being "in Christ." This does not mean being into His teachings, or promises, or some other ethereal concept, but refers simply and plainly as be spiritually relocated from being spiritually "in Adam" or "in the realm of darkness" to being located spiritually within Christ and being sealed within Him such that we are "in Christ" and He is "in us."

Please provide scripture to support the claim we are “transferred into Christ’s spiritual body”?

Note the phrase “in Christ” does not mean literally transferred into His Spiritual body. That is reading way too much into the phrase.

But perhaps there are other passages to support the claim.

Edit to add: it is humorous that you would start a thread titled “Word salad salvation” :)

    peace to you

Ok, so the phrase “transferred into Christ’s spiritual body” does not appear in any of those passages and none other I know of.

To say we are “in Christ” does not mean we are “transferred” into His spiritual body.

Please think about the ramifications of such doctrine.

    peace to you

    Here is one:

    Colossians 1:13 NASB
For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,

And of course your citation of Corinthians 1:30 is spot on! It is because of God's action alone, we are within Christ's spiritual body. We were baptized into Him. We are united with Him. We are made alive together with Him. We were sealed in Him by the Holy Spirit.

    1 Peter 2:9-10
    But you are A CHOSEN PEOPLE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR GOD’S OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
for you once were NOT A PEOPLE, but now you are THE PEOPLE OF GOD; you had NOT RECEIVED MERCY, but now you have RECEIVED MERCY.

What occurs if God puts a human spirit into Christ's spiritual body?
    1) Election
    2) Redemption
    3) Salvation
    4) Regeneration (Made Spiritually Alive)
    5) Born spiritually anew as a child of God, and beloved family member.
    6) Receive Mercy and Forgiveness forever
    7) Made Perfect and enrolled in heaven
    8) Complete Reconciliation with God
    9) Sealed in Christ with the Holy Spirit forever
    10) Our faith protected by the power of God
    11) Made a new creation, created for good works
    12) Positional Sanctification Completed
    13) Progressive Sanctification Inaugurated
    14) Given a measure of faith meaning a sphere of ministry as an Ambassador of Christ.
    15) Heir as a child of God to our bodily redemption at Christ's second coming.

I don't see that as a "word salad".

There are different aspects of salvation, to include past (what Christ has done), present (Christ in us) and future (saved from the wrath to come).

It is objective (what Christ did, the same salvation for every person saved) and subjective (our experience of salvation).

It is historical (the obedience of Christ even to death on a cross, the resurrection) and eternal (the Lamb slain from the foundation of the World).

It is between man and God (reconciliation) and it is between human beings (functioning as members of the body of Christ, being light and salt, living in peace with man).

We like to choose only one aspect, but salvation reaches further than many will allow, probably than any of us can comprehend.

Hi JonC, perhaps we have a different understanding of "word salad?"

    1) Broadly speaking
    2) One might say
    3) The overriding theme
    4) It is a multidimensional theme
    5) Wide range of meanings
    6) Salvation as a reality
    7) Individual and communal
    8) Objective and Subjective
    9) Eternal and Historical
    10) Salvation is a process
    11) Involves the Paradox
    12) Simple and Concrete

How about "if you were put into Christ by God, you are saved, if not you are condemned?"
Salvation is simple, a child can understand.

The effort to make the simple complex seems like a jobs program for seminary students.

I have. For years. The key verse I always recall is 1 Corinthians 6:17.

If we are not in Christ, then we are still in Adam, which equates to me as still being lost. We are not yet glorified, no, but the saved are now seated in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus, because we are in Him and He is in us.

Union with Christ is a great doctrine. Watchman Nee wrote much of it. “Sit, Walk, Stand”, is a good book on it.
