Hmmmnnn, Fundamental Baptists are the only Christians who are asked to mellow out. This guy seems to have arrived at his goal he wishes on others. Jesus Christ was rejected and put to death by teachers of the same law that proved he was God. He did not trim his message so they would like him, and they didn't.

The difference between opinions and convictions: men holds opinions and convictions holds men.

It is my studied opinion thatl the NT scriptures, post resurrection of Jesus Christ, have already addressed the fundamentals of Christianity. However, they are not called the fundamentals, they are called simply, "the faith." All the NT writers of the epistles and the Acts (7 times) mentioned it.

Titus 1:10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.
12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, the Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
    13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;

This term appears 42 times in in the KJV, a number in the KJV that is usually associated with gentiles. Paul uses it 31 times.

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

2 Cor 3:14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.

    Hebrews 10:9
Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

We would know what the fundamentals of Christianity are even if we did not have Torry, Dixon, and others, no?

I think the guy in the video had merely an opinion of the fundamentalists position because he was raised up in that environment, but his convictions were established as ecumentalist later and by other influences that were much broader. It says something about the man, I think.

Romans 2:1, Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

Jude 1:3, Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Are you advocating for a world without judgement? Take all the judgement away and how long will we last?

    <<<<or>>>>

Are you defending the man in the video for his ecumenical, lets get along message? Even with them that teach that God is only concerned with saving a very few he pre-chose to save and all the rest can go to hell?

    ?? Are you crazy?
    Hebrews 9:27.

Do you have a problem with the non Baptist saved? Fundamentalist born again Christians are not only Baptist.
Believing what is not true will not make what is not true to be so.

The Lord's letters to the 7 churches were all different, containing evaluations/judgments and warnings based upon God's discernment of each church.

Those letters indicate crystal clearly that there are denominations/differences in the churches and does not promote ecumenicalism. God holds accountable each church separately.

It would be foolish for a church striving to follow the Philadelphia church model to mingle with those who are not.

The whole concept of one ecumenical church is not of God and you can hold up Roman Catholicism as exhibit A.

It is indeed telling that this "pastor" downgrades the Lord's precepts of Revelation chapters 2 and 3.

We will continue to strive to follow the Philadelphia church model and he can continue to strive for unbiblical ecumenicalism.

Not correct. Rather based on each church's messenger.

If it was me, I would advocate for this guy to be excommunicated and sent packing. I would not fellowship with him nor would he be allowed to pastor (teach my family). Too much of this soft and “compromise” leadership is evident in these churches up north and it’s what killed many churches.

The irony of KJV only Baptist. The KJV is an Anglican Bible.

    .
If I am not mistaken, Primitive Baptists would not have had anything to do with the beginnings of Fundamentalism.

If you are a part of a PB church, you are already part of a sincere Bible teaching and believing community church. So what advantage is there to now attaching yourself to a fundamentalist church… honestly it’s redundant.

Thank you, but, I am of an independent fundamental Baptist persuasion. You are like me, in that, there are some Baptist persuasions we would hold some different divisive understand. Just how it is.
