I used not get Facebook Reels so I could show posts without being ashamed. All my friends are what I would consider good Christian so I could follow Facebook unashamed. Here recently FaceBook has allowed the Brazilian G-String Reels. They allow these Reels without the user subscribing to such material. It would be a bad testimony for someone to look over ones shoulder and see such images. Almost inviting the words sexual perversion.

Brazilian G-String – Bordering nudity and adding the weight of sin on a conscience. I have also noticed that local swimming pools are banning the Brazilian G-String from the swimming area. It is getting where it is a good idea to spend less and less time of Facebook. Anyone else facing these issues? And recommendations on dealing with Facebook Reels?

In 1978, Martin began writing an advice column where she answered etiquette questions contributed by her readers and wrote short essays on problems of manners, or clarifies the essential qualities of politeness. Two quotes to clarify her stand…

*Miss Manners believes that if one does the right thing, one does not have to read nasty little books about how to deal with guilt. One never has any. *If rudeness begets rudeness, which begets more rudeness, where will it all end? Miss Manners often receives letters from people who assume that she is a believer and can supply a method to 'putt down' this person or that. Miss Manners will not subscribe to such behavior. She does not allow rude people to spoil her life, but she does not seek satisfaction in spoiling theirs. -- Judith Martin

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. – 1 Corinthians 15:33
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. – 1 John 1:9

There are times in which my conscience reveals to me of something wrong. If I find the wrong doing, repent, I then can go about in the liberty in which Christ has set me free. I went through the Facebook reels wondering how far they could go on the G-Strings before considering it naked and actually saw one naked, in which must have got past the moderators. My conscience began telling me at that time… You know if someone looks over your shoulder and sees all of that it is going to absolutely destroy your testimony. So…I need to make adjustments. There are options where you can select the, “see less of this type video” and seems to work. But… Spending less time of Facebook is definitely the way to go.

So… I confess myself of wrong doing. In which I hate doing. But this was something that indeed sullied the conscience and had to be dealt with and corrected.

The reels you see are offered to you selectively by AI systems based on their prediction of what you want to see. Then, depending on how you interact with each reel or comment on them or play them again, you get a personalized set of reels.

Most all I get are cat videos and other animal videos. I have interacted with math equation videos and gotten irritated at people who think they know how to do math and don't. Now, I get those quite often, but have stopped interacting with them. Oh, but I still get them.

I also get "Miriam" the Orthodox Jewish lady who explains the day-in-the-life of her family. It's interesting and sad. I've played some of them over while praying for her and her husband and children. I had no idea of the RULES of the Orthodox Jew.

And there are some others that I get alot, but they are benign.

AI gathers information on you and presents the reels accordingly. I'm NOT saying you or anyone else here seek out this stuff!! You may have stopped and watched a reel on monkeys in Brazil or did a Google search of tuning a guitar and the word g-string may have been in it. Or did a DuckDuckGo search on train "models" and - well there you go.

Brother, if you have a computer, I-phone, laptop, or TV set - you are going to be presented from time to time with a bunch of junk.

DON'T dwell your mind on it. Don't WORK on getting it out of your mind - that's when it will STAY.

Move on in channel, reel, page, and screen. If you can't move one - sell your technology.

Here's an explanation of how all of that works. Facebook Reels

This is only an issue for me with the reels. When you scroll they automatically play. All of this happened without my command. And as you say... If one automatically plays the AI system will offer you many more. So going through the reels to see how far they would go with the G-Strings was a terrible idea.

Facebook is being taken over by AI (Artificial Intelligence). It used to be the material was only shared between me and my well chosen Facebook friends and controlled by me. I also search Google here at home and get the same search recommendations there are work, all under a different account. Here recently it has expanded out as the AI would reason it. Taking me places I have no business going. I shared the Bitcoin prices a friend on Google Chat, which was the first time for me doing so. The AI (Artificial Intelligence) had discerned... Hey! He shared a Bitcoin recommendation with a friend on Google Chat... Lets do some advertising! Now the Facebook has a Cryto website recommendation. Which was the first kind of that type advertising for me. This Artificial Intelligence is something new and to me kinda scary. They seem to try to figure you out and live your life for you. Which may become a "Beast" to us as spoken in the Book of Revelation.

My kids set me up on Facebook 6-8 years ago. I signed in and had about 150 messages from strangers all over the world asking to be my “friend”.

I logged out and never went back.

I do BB and email. I occasionally research topics, but limited.

    peace to you
