Over the years, though I have not read the King James Bible in that time consistently, except at certain periods of time, I have gotten progressively better at understanding it. But I still struggle to fully comprehend much of it.
I have desired to understand it fully for two reasons, one, that I want to become more godly and to draw closer to the Lord, and two, that I want to expand my intellect for thinking and writing. I wonder if this second motive of mine is a sin, although no other professing Christian has ever told me that it is wrong, but those who are not in that group, for one reason or another.
