Is God Patient With His Decree?

If you’re going to ask me silly questions, then I’m going to give you silly answers. Of course I didn’t participate in my birth. Next, you’re inevitably going to ask me if I participated in my second birth.
Where did your faith come from? Were you born with it? Or did it come from hearing the Word of God?

Au contraire.

Man has a will. It just isn't free, until Christ sets one free. Even then, I'm bound by His love.

Then perhaps you need to tell God He got it wrong. Why is He judging all those people that have no free will.

Your version of god is not so loving is He. Note I used a small g as the god you follow cannot be the God of the bible.

Many people hear the word of God and reject it, you do know that don't you.

Knowledge + Belief + Trust = Faith

Faith is believing that Christ is what He is said to be,
and that He will do what He has promised to do,
and then to expect this of Him.

We see this in scripture.
Eph 1:13 In whom also, you having heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also having trusted, were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

Where did you think faith came from? Did you think God just dropped it intro your head, Oh right the C/R's do think He did just that. Problem is the bible does not support that view.

Your entry to this world. Did God determine it, or were you just lucky?

What does that have to do with trusting in God?

But actually my parents determined it, shocking I know but perhaps you need someone to tell you about procreation.

This just another of the many ways the C/R's try to deflect and muddy the water by bringing in of the wall arguments.

That is a rather dumb comment.

But you are a determinist after all so you really can not think for yourself as that requires the ability to make real choices.
You're telling me that you can just turn belief on and off? That right now, you could simply choose to believe in Martians or Santa Claus?

You didn't answer my question.

Of course you do as I do not support your false philosophy which is based on pagan teachings.

Have you ever checked out where those views you so proudly trumpet came from? You can not say from scripture as they are not found there.
They came from Jesus.
He made it quite plain.

Most definitely by hearing the Word of God.

Why? The only reason you can cite is that you were better than the other person.

I like the illustration that has been given before - I made the choice to open the door and accept Christ. After I walked through and got saved, I discover that God had chosen me for salvation all along. It's one of those things that we can't reconcile in our finite minds.

God holds a person responsible for the choices they make, so it is not a matter of being wiser or better but trusting that the information you have been given.

Now in hind sight you could say the person had made a wiser or better choice.

Only if you do not hold to the C/R philosophy as those came from Augustine who imported them fro the pagan teachings he was under for over a decade.

You do need to do some more study about the foundations of the view you hold.

To transfer from one state of being to another, a choice must be made.
Hearing the Word of God allows someone the information necessary to make a choice.
It is important that the unbeliever hear. This is why Scripture says “how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard, and how shall they hear without a preacher?”
