the board of G3 Ministries (G3), share the following statement regarding Dr. Josh Buice, President of G3 and elder at Pray’s Mill Baptist Church (PMBC)

"we have made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming national G3 Conference and all 2025 workshops. All registrants, exhibitors, and publishers will receive a full refund of registration fees."

"On May 8, after some members of the board privately encouraged Josh Buice to resign, the board received and unanimously accepted Josh Buice’s resignation as President of G3."

"In recent weeks, the elders of PMBC uncovered irrefutable evidence that Dr. Buice has, for the past three years, operated at least four anonymous social media accounts, two anonymous email addresses, and two Substack platforms. These accounts were used to publicly and anonymously slander numerous Christian leaders, including faithful pastors (some of whom have spoken at G3 conferences), several PMBC elders, and others."

"Dr. Buice had been asked on multiple occasions over the past two years whether he had any connection to these anonymous accounts. In each case, he denied any knowledge of them. On Sunday evening, May 4, 2025, after clear and comprehensive evidence emerged linking the accounts directly to him, the elders of PMBC confronted Josh. For some time, he continued to deny his involvement. Only after further evidence was presented and much pleading with him to walk in the light did Josh finally confess to his actions."

G3 Ministries • Update Regarding Josh Buice

"Josh Buice has stained the mission and character of G3 Ministries (G3)...we have made the decision to remove all of Josh Buice’s content"

"to clarify the reason for canceling the conference...several of the scheduled speakers had been sinfully targeted by him through anonymous accounts...we did not want to put these brothers in the difficult position of deciding whether to participate in an event so closely tied to someone who had maligned them"

Ravi Zacharias, James Macdonald, Tony Evans, Bill Hybels, Mark Driscoll, Steve Lawson... on and on it goes... In the city where I live, I know of four churches rocked by leadership scandal involving stuff like pedophilia, homosexuality, and adultery. Yikes. Apostate Church anyone?

Our local churches should not be built around a Pastor, no matter how effectively he draws people and revenue. Our leadership boards must hold the ministry staff, top to bottom, accountable, and in turn our leadership boards must be accountable to our members. That is the biblical model.

Taken further, Jesus said that there was no greater prophet than John the Baptist. If I may address him momentarily in the fashion of preacher, John drew crowds. He was a great preacher. But when Jesus was revealed to men, Jesus began to attract the followers of John. When John’s own disciples questioned him about it, John taught them that Jesus must increase and he himself decrease.
I have heard an awful lot of pastors who think that the church is there to spiritually encourage them. They would not necessarily come right out and say it that way, but they live it that way. When a pastor does not direct his church continually towards Jesus Christ, he does them a great error.
To the members, there is also responsibility given in the subject.
Hebrews 13:7
Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
It is the responsibility of every Christian to hear the faith preached and evaluate where it is taking the preacher and where it will take them.
We are not blind leaders of the blind. If there are any blind in our believing congregation, it is a willful or lazy blindness.

Amen! God has called all of His children to unite in Christ and to be conformed to his image.

Romans 8:29
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

2 Corinthians 4:7-11
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;
8 we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing;
9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;
10 always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.
11 For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

Philippians 3:7-8
7 But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ.
8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ,

My grandfather (a pastor for forty years and then itinerant revivalist for twenty) told me a number of times that he would never begin to preach a sermon unless he was confident that it would be Christ that people would encounter through him as he preached. He didn't fill his sermons with cultural relevancy, pop references or jokes but with Jesus whom he would glorify, often quoting from memory dozens upon dozens of verses/passages from God's word. And so it was that my grandfather was used mightily by God, again and again, to spiritually revive cold, hard, sinful congregations. How far from such preaching we are today! And it shows.

I was sad to see this. The vitriol and hate this man aimed at some of my friends and ministries was worse than an infidel. Trust that believers will learn from this - hidden sin of the heart will face judgment.

Thankful for leadership to force his removal. But damage and hurt are not easily rectified.
