The cremation of their bodes was not a sign of disrespect or dishonor, as indicated by David's grand commendation in 2 Samuel 2:
“David sent messengers to the men of Jabesh-gilead and said to them, “May you be blessed by the Lord, because you showed this loyalty to Saul your lord and buried him. Now may the Lord show steadfast love and faithfulness to you. And I will do good to you because you have done this thing.” (2 Samuel 2:5–6, ESV 2016)

David did not commend them for cremating Saul. Earlier in the post from which I quote above, you quoted 1 Samuel 31:12 to try to support your point:
1 Samuel 31:12 All the valiant men arose, and went all night, and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Bethshan, and came to Jabesh, and burnt them there.
The very next verse shows that what they did was not cremation; they preserved the bones and buried them:
1 Samuel 31:13 And they took
their bones, and buried them under a tree at Jabesh, and fasted seven days.
In 2 Samuel 2:5, the text specifies that David commended them for
burying Saul.
2 Samuel 2:5 And David sent messengers unto the men of Jabeshgilead, and said unto them, Blessed be ye of the LORD, that ye have shewed this kindness unto your lord, even unto Saul, and
have buried him.
There was no Davidic commendation for the burning of the bodies.
The wicked practice of cremation seeks to destroy even the bones of the people--that is not at all what the men of Jabesh-Gilead did in that exceptional situation.
There is zero Bible that commends the abomination of cremation.
