It is OBVIOUSLY a parable. Want me to go over it step-by-step?
It isn't obvious that it is a parable to me. In what other parable do people have names?
When does the Bible say it is a parable?
Yes, please, step by step.
Of course the Word was made flesh.
And the Word was God.
Word was God the same as Moses was.
That must be an error in your translation.
Ex 7:1 ¶ And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
god Not God.
And if you want to know what God meant by this, look at what He said.
Ex 4:16 And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be,
even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.
John never says that the Word was instead of God. He said He was God.
Instead, John says
1Jo 1:1 ¶ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
1Jo 1:2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen
it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us
1Jo 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship
is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ
AND...
1Jo 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
And so I believe in the Trinity. Because it is in the Scripture.
The Word DIED. God cannot.
Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Need I explain or is it enough that the Bible says it?
