On what does Christianity stand?

You are all mixed up.

Heis what you have said:

1. The gospel is all 66 books of the Bible.
2. The Spirit works thru [sic] the Bible to enable the lost to get saved
3. These enabled sinners then are saved by the preaching of the message.

The gospel is the power of God unto salvation. The gospel preached must be consistent with the gospel written in Scripture. But the gospel is the message.

The lost DO NOT have to read the Bible in order to be enabled to be saved by the preaching of the gospel.

I doubt most lost people seriously read the Bible.

People are saved BY Christ through the preaching of the gospel.

The Bible contains the gospel message, but the gospel is not all 66 books of the Bible.
Jesus as Promised Messiah is found pretty much in all of the canonized books, and the scriptures contain the gospel message, and they alone are the very words of God that can save lost sinners

The words do not save (the gospel message is not an incantation).

But yes, the Bibke does contain the gospel, history about Israel as a nation, information about Jesus, and doctrines about the Christian life, and information about Jesus.

My point is that you were wrong. The list does not have to read the Bible in order to be enabled to be saved and then hear the gospel message to be saved.

I asked you where you got that idea, but you have not answered.

Before the New Testament was compiled Gentiles were saved by others telling them the gospel message. Paul met these people.

Likewise, God saves men today through the gospel message - whether explained to them by another person or read in the Bible.

The Holy Spirit uses the scriptures to do His saving work among lost sinners, for the Christians go out into the world to tell lost the good news of the Cross of Christ, taken from very bible

Yes, sometimes the Spirit reaches peoole through Scripture. And sometimes people are reached by other believers explaining their expierence of salvation. And sometimes people are reached by media explaining the gospel. Sometimes they are reached by the words of a preacher.

My point is that the gospel that existed before the NT was written is the power of God unto salvation, and is the message contained in Scripture.

You said that the Holy Spirit works through the Bible to enable the lost, and then the lost hears the preacher and can respond.

That is wrong.

So faith comes by hearing, and that by the word of God is false?

Why would you think it false?

Do you believe the Word of God (insofar as the New Testament) did not exist until the letters were written and compiled?

No, @JesusFan , the Word of God existed prior to people writing it down.

When the Disciples shared the gospel they were sgaring the Word of God, even though those words were not yet written. When I share the gospel I am sharing the Word of God even though I may use my own testimony.

You seem to be caught up in the ritualistic, as in utter these words and thou wilt be saved.

The Bible communicates to us the Word of God (the meaning behind the words). Words are simply symbols.

I think you would do well to go back and study Scripture, but also find somebody more nature in the faith as a mentor.
