I want to take a moment to remember when our country was wantonly attacked on this day 21years ago.

At that time, every house displayed an American flag, there were prayer meetings in church and local parks etc. Have we forgotten? I won’t, maybe because I took it personally when friends from the office of the Port Authority in NYC lost their lives..they tried to blow up the World Trade bldg by driving a van under it and exploding it prior to the Jet plane crashes and I was there for that event… scary!
So we all knew it could happen… we had targets on our backs! And so it goes!

Let’s all take some time together today to remember the dead and sincerely pray for peace in the world… Come Jesus come, make today be the day. Amen.

Here is what I’ve learned about cancer. When a healthy cell mutates, it no longer relays on oxygen to generate energy rather it begins to utilize glucose as its energy source. If you rob the cancer cell of the glucose you starve it. With any enemy, I look for its source of energy that makes it strong…so what makes the Muslim countries strong? Oil baby oil. So I ask, why haven’t we denied them their oil dominance? In fact, right now we are competing with them, but how can we really think we actually can? They have the reserves to drop the price ( for however long they want ) and kill the US oil industry because we can’t compete with their price levels.There goes our domestic energy market. We end up totally dependent on the Middle East for energy.

Like it or not, tariffs protect selling in. If we are energy independent, it doesn’t matter what anyone else does. We would be an energy island. We just wouldn’t make any profit on exports. My understanding (not sure how true it is) is that it is more complicated than just “oil is oil.”
Also, I just heard someone say, “Go ahead and make them irrelevant. Imagine what they will do when they have nothing to lose.”

Just some thoughts.

I used to sell construction to ARAMCO and back in the day the Arab countries ( mostly made up of different tribes) would compete with one another for American business. Yes, they would agree to capitulate to OPEC price levels on the service but behind closed doors they would cut deals with the US Oil Companies for reduced price levels…they would capture our business & we would get price breaks allowing us to profit, sometimes widely.

But now you have shale fracking technology which provides the US a distinct advantage, providing that market doesn’t dry up. See this industry has changed putting the OPEC producing countries in a bind. They must hold on to existing markets and capture new markets..and we have a distinct advantage with fracking as long as we can afford operations costs. Frankly the present oil business doesn’t want OPEC to drop oil pricing by increasing production because the competitive price levels would put a strain on their profit levels and production costs (fracking is a more complicated process that costs more to extract)…and that’s a conundrum for US oil producers.

I personally would dearly love to go to war with them and take all that oil away from them…consider it paybacks for 911 only BRICS would have a conniption fit. If Hegstath wants to “send in the Marines” somewhere I’d suggest the Arab Emirate Countries….a lot of profits in those sand dunes.

Allow me to comment and expand on some of your thoughts.

1. Exports are where the real profits are.
2. Complicated in that the US has mostly exhausted our tradition as means of extracting & pumping. Thank the Good Lord for fracking technology… we can now squeeze out every drop of the black liquid.
3. We would not make the common people irrelevant, rather we would make them liberated from a corrupt system. many from Iran are chomping at the bit for that day to come. Thank you Jesus! seriously, Christian conversions in that part of the world would go sky high.

I recall that you have design experience with developing modern energy industry infrastructure ( I was impressed being an electrical guy in construction ). I’m fairly certain that you could get employment with building power plants in Arabia…forget about cold, dark & dank Canada.
