I agree that when we die we will be with Christ.
In the Bible heaven or the heavens refer to above the Earth. Paul speaks of passing through heavens, although he was not sure if this was in body ir spirit.
Heaven is sometimes used to refer to the "spiritual realm".
Then we have Paradise (where Jesus said the thief would be with Him.
What I am referring to is Heaven (the final home of those who are saved, when Heaven will descendants and Gid will dwell with man.
I did not want to hijack your thread, only to indicate my choice of "other".
I appreciate your not wanting to "hijack" my thread.
Establishing where Solomon actually is requires accurately specifying what the Bible teaches about heaven.
I am not aware of "heaven" ever being "used to refer to the 'spiritual' realm." Where does the Bible do this?
Moreover, Christ is seated
bodily in heaven at the right hand of God. To be with Christ necessarily means that the believer after he has died is in heaven itself.
Acts 7 establishes this truth:
Acts 7:55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly
into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and
Jesus standing on the right hand of God, 56 And said, Behold, I see
the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. 57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, 58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. 59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying,
Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
What Stephen prayed for just before he died was precisely what happened. Jesus received Stephen's spirit into heaven itself where He is at the right hand of God the Father.
