Well that is one thing in your favor.I don't follow the WCF nor the LBCF.
Yes God loves all those that have freely trusted in Him and are thus elect.God loves His elect. He hates the reprobates.
Romans 9:13
As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
So you say your a Sovereign Grace Baptist but that means you hold to the DoG/TULIP which is calvinism through and through. When a person lies, God is not the moving his lips and tongue.
Also, I am a Sovereign Grace Baptist, not a Calvinist. I have not read Calvin, except what other people have quoted about him that I have heard or read
If one is justified then they are saved Ken. Are you making the claim you were saved B4 creation?Justification is from eternity, and there are also aspects of it that involve events in time - the cross of Christ, and God-given faith., but it all began back in eternity.
1 John 5:11-13
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
1 John 5:19-20 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
Ken you have no way of knowing if your faith is real.
This is from the same web site as B4
Go tell that to someone who doesn't know any better!
That's works thenThe condition for salvation is that you must believe from the heart
That's works then
No one of those whom God chose before the world began as one of His elect will be lost for eternity. They may get themselves into a whole heap of spiritual trouble on this earth, but God will keep them, as Jude wrote in Jude 1:24-25.
But I can see since you apparently do not believe that salvation is 100% of God and 0% of man, and you have a false understanding in that you think a person contributes to their salvation to some degree and in some form, that you would also think that man can lose salvation.
That's the kind of false teaching I grew up with in the Church of Christ.
Who said anything about Paul teaching a work salvation?I don't think Paul is teaching a works salvation.
But whatever you say, BF.
Who said anything about Paul teaching a work salvation?
Well I understand your post as not believing we become the righteousness of God in Him. You deny that when God credits our faith as righteousness, which occurs before He transfers us spiritually into Christ, and then, only after we are "in Him," do we become the righteousness of God through the washing of regeneration.I can see and agree to a point with what you say, but not completely.
Just as our sins are imputed in Christ, His righteousness is imputed in us by Grace through faith.
But I do agree with the washing of regeneration as I see it happening the very second we believe.
The circumcision of Christ as you mentioned earlier.
and what to do.
Yes, I do.
Romans 8:16
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
He is the only author of Scripture that explains salvation
or were you regenerated so that you could believe?
I have never heard of that church you are referencing. Apparently, it is somewhere in the state of New York.
Again, I don't follow the WCF nor the LBCF.
When I say that I am a Sovereign Grace Baptist, I am referring to what is preached at Grace Baptist Church of Ruston, Louisiana, as well at Eager Avenue Grace Church of Albany, Georgia, and Sovereign Grace Baptist Church of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Gospel of Grace Ministries of Okeana, Ohio. All four of those pastors I have met and heard in person preach the gospel of the finished work of Christ.
1. Luke 13:24 demonstrates man, in his depraved fallen state, has the ability to seek God without the compulsion or enablement of irresistible grace.SNIP
Doctrines of Grace.
The Canons of Dort (1618-1619)
- Man is depraved, and has no ability to contribute to his own salvation, or merit the merits of Christ.
- Election is unconditional depending only on the sovereign choice of God.
- The atonement is limited to the elect. A definite redemption was made.
- God’s grace is irresistible.
- The saints will persevere in the faith, being kept by the power of God. Their salvation is certain.

But you do follow calvinist philosophy. Your own posts show that Ken.
