A History of the State Church

Many times the Lord did not address a denomination... He addressed the generation. I sat that as I worry about the generation these days much more than I do a denomination. I did not mind the 1973 version of Jesus Christ Superstar, but I am afraid to even preview anything afterwards. Especially the thoughts of portraying Jesus as a drag queen.

When did Jesus ever address a denomination???
I would say the closest He came was the Pharisees and the Sadducees. Neither of them appreciated the Baptists much but even they were afraid to speak evil of John, if only for the resulting bad publicity.

For anyone who can’t tell by reading it, this comment is a bit tongue in cheek, and a bit serious.

And one Baptist in particular... Noting a sect... And then a generation...

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? - John the Baptist
