Are we failing our youth by NOT helping them the why of our doctrines not just WHAT they are?

Do they then accept or do they reject them? At least by teaching them you have led them to make a stand as what they will accept. Either way, you have to respect their final decisions regarding faith or else you will loose them and you do not want to do that. My brother, I consider that story as Jesus identifying the Father G-D’s personality character… one that doesn’t push or make demands but is always patient & loving, just waiting for reality to sink into his sons understanding. I’m content to wait for my own son’s recovery to what is real and what isn’t real. Your putting in the time is all important and I applaud you for that.
