Why don't you just go to one of their services?
Courtesy & respect… yea I value those trait’s… I was raised with them. I also know that this particular church is in flux. The pastor they had for the last few years, one that they hand selected from the Al Moler School of divinity in Kentucky, didn’t work out for them. Subsequently he left in 2025 and the flock has scattered. They have been left to pick up the pieces because other local churches have replaced them… churches that personally are the modern type that I abhor. I’d prefer something that’s very biblical, without the stage presence & the smoke and mirrors… something like this

Sounds like there is no leadership.
Are you interested in becoming a member and have a leadership position of that church?

I don't know anything about NJ churches but I know someone who does.

Dr. Shelton Smith is the editor of the Sword of the Lord and you will get a response from him about Bible believing churches in your area.

He's in Murfreesboro TN. and has contacts all over the world.

He would be doing just KJVO churches though, correct?

It's funny about the KJVO thing. I've never heard it from the pulpit in my Church, not one time.

Even though my pastor is a KJVO believer, he leaves that to personal conviction.

Twice a month the men in our Church meet to discuss anything concerning the Scripture, if you have a question this is the time to ask.

There are pastors is these meetings from other IFB churches with many years of experience, some with doctorate degrees in theology. I do a lot of listening and not much talking, unless I'm called on.

One of the new members from another Church asked his pastor why did he use only the KJV. I just sit there and listened to what seemed to be the exact same story of my life with the KJV,

He said his parents used the KJV Bible, and their parents before them and their parents before them, etc.

He went on to say he learned the KJV from a child, no other version can compare to it, no other version sounds like the Word of God to him.

He gave some examples of the difference in the versions, off the top of his head he recited these other versions and then the KJV. He went into the background of the KJV and I'm sure it's nothing that you haven't heard before.

Then I thought, I'm not the only one who tells this story. I'm not the only one who considers the KJV to be the only version for me.

You talking about Southern? Never heard it call Al Mohler school of divinity before.
As to the church in question, I wouldn't beg them to contact me. Shake the dust off

Yea,,, graduating from Southern / The A. Mohler Divinity School was supposed to be the key to success… only it wasn’t. They couldn’t have cared less in the east with all the Karen’s sitting in the pews. Nor did the preaching, the Bible studies etc. They wanted more musical performances, blue smoke on stage and someone to kiss their fat arses with complements… and he couldn’t take it & beelined it to Oklahoma, proving once again that the south don’t work in Yankee world. Funny stuff.

I do not want to hijack the thread EWF started -
so to answer Charlie - please go to this new thread:

That would be wisdom, as he can hold to kjvo , but should npot hold that standard for all of us also

The ad is Armstrongism. Shun them.

Yea I know.. I spoke to them. They really have no strong presence in New Jersey. I persevered than to be Jewish like in there doctrines & practice.
Herbert Armstrong founded the movement with a mixture of Seventh day Adventism, Judaism, and I think some Watchtower Society (Jehovah Witness) influence. Garner Ted Armstrong was his son, though later discredited by the organization. Herbert published the Plain Truth magazine for years, which was anything but.

There are several offshoots of Armstrong’s Worldwide Church of God, and the one advertising here is one of them. Armstrong’s original WCG has moved more to orthodox Christianity, thus the rise of offshoots displeased by the move toward a traditional understanding of Christianity.

Still they gain traction because legit churches across the country do not operate fully in Christ, causing downturns in their churches. And of course, is unfortunate however by doing that these churches are opening up the doors for on Christian organizations posing as Christ churches. This is very sad for how can we create a better world, one that Christ wants for us if we’ve got these CRETEONS capitalizing on our Christian works?

As an FYI, the Friends (Quaker) movement have constructed & internet marketing programs to entice people who areo sickand tired of the same old, same old churches, and of course, orthodox Christian churches, as well as Catholic churches or participating in these, marketing endeavors.

So what are you doing in age of declining churches across America, similar to Europe’s downfall, in re-developing a Christian nation with genuine values and morals?Seriously I don’t know what to do!

I have contacted local churches by mail and email. None have ever responded.

I have informed several of them about a local ministry doing something I felt was wrong. The ministry had a thrift store selling various things. A certain man shopped there every day, buying used bras and panties. I questioned the store manager about the odd behavior. He said he confronted the guy, who told the manager that he had a friend who had a business that used them! Adult entertainment? I felt the ministry thrift store should not sell used underwear, especially to him.

Another time, I contacted the music directors of quite a few local churches and offered to perform a free electronic music performance for their youth group. Not a single church replied to me.

Did you ask what business? Did you investigate that business? If it was legal - then the thrift shop cannot do much about it. Maybe this is an opportunity for you to meet this man......

Are you know in your area? Maybe they have no interest. I rec all kinds of mailings at our church - virtually all end up in file 13.
I do sales for a Christian radio station - I make a point of meeting the pastors in person - makes a big difference. As part of my ministry - I show how being on the radio can be beneficial to their church.
