You have misunderstood me and you don’t listen when I tell you that.

So I can go marry a man because there is no difference, so long as he is a Christian?

I don’t think so.

You create problems where they don’t exist.

There are most certainly differences between men and women.

1 Corinthians 11:10
For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

The point of the OP is the here and now in this world. It has no bearing on eternity in Christ.

could you please explain what you meant by your first post in this thread or was it just that you like to dig up a disagreement anyway you can?

You have continued to ignore that question.
1) An effort to disparage me, rather than address the topic.

2) Marriage is between a man and a women. You have God's word on that.

3) The fact that there is no difference in Christ refers to born anew believers living in this world.

4) One of our tasks, as born anew believers is to be "ambassadors of Christ" with the ministry of reconciliation. Both men and women have this ministry.

5) Here again is my first post:
"There is no difference in Christ between male and female. Thus your classifications [patriarchy and matriarchy] do not exist in the New Creation."

You said there is no difference.

3) The fact that there is no difference in Christ refers to born anew believers living in this world.
So born anew believers living in this world can preach to the assembly and marry regardless of gender based on your statements.

4) One of our tasks, as born anew believers is to be "ambassadors of Christ" with the ministry of reconciliation. Both men and women have this ministry.
Absolutely!
What has that to do with matriarchy? That was the topic.

But here we are in this present world living with people who live their present day lives in a manner opposite the responsibilities that God has given to each (that means only 2) gender.

And so I say again, the implications of the OP are real.

Your choice to ignore them in some respect is to argue against what you yourself obviously believe.

1) A complete falsehood, Scripture, not me, says there is no difference between male and female "IN CHRIST."

2) A complete falsehood, folks, this poster seems willing to misrepresent others. Here is what I actually said: "The fact that there is no difference in Christ refers to born anew believers living in this world." I was addressing the false claim that they are different until we enter the eternal kingdom in the future.

3) There is scriptural basis for not allowing women to witness to others, such as their husbands or within her community.

4) When my mother was born, women did not have the vote. Do we still think that is exercising forbidden authority over men? :)

You mean yourself ?

Since you say we are not different until we enter the eternal kingdom, then how can you use proper pronouns?
I am reconsidering my previous “Californication” joke and am considering dropping the word joke.

There are clear differences in churches between men and women who are in Christ while they are in this world. If the people in your church are not in Christ then you should reconsider your church.

3) There is scriptural basis for not allowing women to witness to others, such as their husbands or within her community.
A woman is not supposed to be a witness?
Please correct this statement as I am sure from your previous post that you didn’t mean it.

4) When my mother was born, women did not have the vote. Do we still think that is exercising forbidden authority over men? :)
You are talking out of both sides of your mouth.
Do people step outside of Christ to teach Sunday school or does in Christ not refer to physical presence?
Do people step outside of Christ to get married or does in Christ not refer to physical presence?

Mark 12:25
For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

Have you risen from the dead yet?
Until then, don’t tell me there are no differences in the flesh and in the world that we live in.
If you want to talk about in Christ specifically and say that there is no matriarchy in Christ, that’s fine. Go start a thread about it. But if you want to deny it entirely, you have strayed from the topic.

1) Once again, we see "you say" and these we see what Ben1445 says.
2) All local assemblies are made up of wheat and tares.
3) Oops my bad, my statement should have read:
"here is NO scriptural basis for not allowing women to witness to others, such as their husbands or within her community" And if that is a double negative, then "There is scriptural basis for allowing women to witness to others, such as their husbands or withing her community.
4) There is no basis in scripture for NOT allowing women to exercise authority over men by Voting, such as electing biblically qualified Elders.
5) "In Christ" never refers to physical presence, obfuscation on display.
6) Yes of course I have risen from the dead, I was spiritually dead in sins, and now I am alive with Christ.
7) Did I say there is NO difference in the flesh? Nope - more obfuscation on display.

Mark 12:25
For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

Jesus is addressing our physical bodily resurrection unto life, when reproduction is unnecessary as we live forever.

But our verse: Galatians 3:28

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Refers to our spiritual rebirth in Christ.
