Bad mistake on the part of management. They changed the reason for the termination after realizing they made a mistake in saying it was about her conversations with other employees. They put it in text messages for all to see.
It is tricky to discuss sexuality in a workplace, especially these days. It’s a trap.
I think the main thing that got her in trouble was not talking about the Christian college she attended, but her saying homosexuality is sinful. The workplace is not a good venue for discussing any kind of sexual topic, especially in our woke culture. She fell into a trap. They don’t fire anyone for talking about the weather. Unless you are prepared to defend a “heads down, no smiling” sweatshop policy, you can’t expect to fire someone for talking about religion/faith. I have found that it is okay to talk about any “religion” except Jesus. If you’re not a conspiracy theorist on any other subject, you should be here. But it isn’t really theoretical.
1 John 3:13
Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
If the only time you see them is at work, that is the only time you can talk to them. And I wouldn’t want to be around their Mormon practices to spend time with them. I’ll wait for them to be in public.I also personally do not think the workplace is appropriate for discussing religion, politics, family, or any topic that is very personal. Talk about work related issues, the weather, favorite restaurants, hobbies maybe. Self disclosures are often snares and ripe for malicious gossip.

Before joining the On the Ground (OTG) Gender Equity program, Noella faced a reality in which she had no autonomy in her own home. She was even denied access to certain foods because they were considered "for men only".
Today, Noella’s story is one of reclaimed power and peace. As a program graduate, she is now a decision-maker in her household.
Your support of our Rooted Equity Blend directly fuels this transformation. We are proud to donate $3 from every bag sold to OTG, supporting gender equity programs for families in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. This blend is available at all 17 stores and on our website.

They saw an opening and did this to get her fired, imo.She should not have been fired. But hopefully, she’s smarter now, and will avoid conversational traps. Like talking about anything related to sexuality. There is never any need to discuss such topics at work. Sharing all your opinions about everything accomplishes nothing, but fueling the gossip fires.
I had NO IDEA people used the dark ages term, M.R.S. degree anymore. I thought that jab at women went out with June and Ward Cleaver. LOLFYI, 'Boyce College' is the undergraduate college of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary!
This gal will likely get a hefty financial settlement out of this, a nice dowry to accompany her M.R.S. degree.
An "MRS degree" (pronounced M-R-S) is a slang term for a woman attending college primarily to find a husband, rather than to pursue a career. Popularized in the 1950s, it implies that getting married (becoming a "Mrs.") is the true goal of her education. It is generally considered a derogatory, outdated, or satirical stereotype.I had NO IDEA people used the dark ages term, M.R.S. degree anymore. Sidenote: I'm not going to be at Worthy forums anymore because there just isn't any room there for civil discussion between people who disagree. I've seen people accused of having TDS when they obviously do not. But most of all, I was called a liar today. That was the last straw. Besides, it's cliquish there and I'm not in the clique. An "MRS degree" (pronounced M-R-S) is a slang term for a woman attending college primarily to find a husband, rather than to pursue a career.
