TRUMP WINS!

I didn't throw money at the poll, so no skin off my nose. But it does demonstrate how independent voters in particular are feeling like they're getting the short end of the stick. He did promise to not start any new wars, and he did promise to bring costs down. If you think I'm making that up, just rewatch his victory speech from election night. Promises made, promises NOT kept.
Reality check!!

Trump can’t behave for every country in the world. And yes, what everyone else does does affect us in some degree. Iran has, had, has(?)the ability to affect us to a nuclear degree. (or newcuelar, depending on who you are talking to)
They are also the nation that has threatened death to America for decades. Since Trump is not a tribute money paying kind of person, he appears to me to be hashing out the same conflict as was done in our early American history. (Can I get a rousing chorus from the Marines with some emphasis on “the shores of Tripoli”?)

So they haven’t learned anything from history and apparently neither have Presidents for the last few decades.
But history repeats itself.

This issue should have been handled similarly to how we approach other countries that possess nuclear capabilities. The sole reason we haven't experienced a nuclear conflict up to now is due to a concept known as "mutually assured destruction." Wasn't that the whole point of forming NATO in the first place?

that is not entirely true. Russia, China, Korea, etc don’t get a harem for blowing themselves up. When you give nuclear capabilities to people who are dumb enough to kill themselves, that make you equally intelligent. Less intelligent when you already have the information to tell you that they are going to kill you as soon as they can.

They really don’t care about mutually assured destruction. There life is dedicated to killing or subjugating the infidels. That includes you. Obama paid tribute. Biden paid them off also.
Do you also think we need to send them pallets of cash? It is not as simple as “it’s over there and none of my business.”

No.

The deal Obama made with Iran in 2015 was terrible, and I'm glad Trump pulled us out of it. At the same time, don't you think the only thing preventing Iran from trying to finish off Israel once and for all is the fear of U.S. and NATO retaliation? It's the same deal with every country that would attempt to be so bold.

Two wrongs don't make a right. That's all I'm saying.

That was the purpose of the poll, to influence independents.

Certainly asking people if DT has kept his promises is legitimate. Asking who they are likely to vote for in midterms is legitimate.

Saying “Trump has broken all his promises, started wars and kept prices high. Knowing that, would you have voted for Harris in 2024, instead of Trump” is a push poll design to influence perception instead of reflecting opinion.

If a pollster had said, “Harris was instrumental in keeping our borders open, allowing 15 million illegal immigrants into the country which resulted in thousands of rapes, murders, child trafficking, and out of control crime. Donald Trump kept his promise and has closed the border and deported hundreds of thousands of criminals. Knowing that, would you have voted Harris instead of Trump in 2024”, …..

I suspect the result would have been different.

Peace to you

No, the only thing keeping Iran from nuking Israel is Donald Trump. If they get the nuke, and they were close, they would have used it.

Let’s be clear, Israel has nukes, imo. They also have great intelligence because they know their existence depends on it.

If Iran was assembling a nuke, Israel would go it alone to destroy it. If Iran launched a nuke… well….

Come Lord Jesus

No. I think that if they thought they could do it they would. It has been tried before. Did the presence of the US as a nation or of the United Nations stop the Hostage situation in the’70s? No. Not until Reagan took office. And they knew they had someone serious to deal with. So they released hostages and calmed down in order to keep on with their end game. They have been working on nuclear for decades and seem to think they have something to hold onto.
I think that if they thought they had the advantage like Israel’s enemies thought they had in the six day war, they would have already tried. But they are not stupid, and deep down, who wouldn’t want to be alive after a war? So they are in it for the long game. They almost have Great Britain and Canada. It’s kind of scary. But Muslims play the long game.
It's the same deal with every country that would attempt to be so bold.

So you don’t believe in capital punishment?
You don’t believe in peace through superior firepower?

If they threaten to kill us, we are the foolish ones if we do nothing. It is not another wrong, it is self defense.
You really believe that they don’t mean what they say?

Indeed, if voters knew this is where we would be 17 months later, then likely many of the reluctant Trump voters would have either switched their vote to Harris or they would have not voted at all. I think that's a fair assessment, but again, we're only speaking hypothetically.

Of course I do, but just because we have the most powerful military in the world doesn't mean we have to use it. For the most part, Trump exercised restraint during his first term. Not so much during his second.

I think you misunderstood my post. I’m saying the results of the poll would be different based on how you ask the questions.

Non-partisan pollsters construct their questions to gage public opinion. Partisan pollsters construct their questions to influence public opinion (push poll).

To ask a question about an election that cannot happen is a push poll.

Peace to you
