I just did a little research and here's what I learned. Using the nominal GDP of each country here is the ranking of best to least in the top four: The US, China, German, and Japan. In total GDP it's China, US, India, Russia, Japan, and Germany is ranked #21.

A single worker in Germany with average earnings sees roughly 49.3% of their earnings for income taxes and social security (which funds universal healthcare, long-term care, unemployment benefits, and public pensions). When they shop, the pay a value added tax of 19% That applies to most everyday retail purchases, electronics, clothing, vehicles, and services. The reduced VAT rate of 7% . This is applied to essential goods and services to keep them affordable. It covers basic foodstuffs, water, books, newspapers, hotel accommodations, public transit, and restaurant dining.

They were getting it through Nordstrom 1. It was such a good deal from Germany they built Nordstrom 2. But Trump went to Germany and said we're giving you billions in NATO and we don't want you buying Russian gas. So They refused to license the opening of Nordstrom 2. When Biden was President when fuel prices were rising the German People protested and chanted open Nordstrom 2 we blew it up. I am sure you heard about it. American media said we don't know who blew it up. That was the end of cheap Russian gas. They got to buy it from America or Canada at 3 times the price. Many manufacturing facilities went under . Even their car manufacturing came here to offset fuel costs. Well some of them were already here. They are now ranked 21 you say. Thank you.

Truman also kept the development of our atomic in 1945. Stalin had no idea it existed until we dropped the first in Japan. This resulted in the nuclear arms race. Then there was the 1947 Truman Doctrine where the US would provide military and economic aid to any democracy under the threat of a communist nation. Then there was the Marshall Plan which Stalin viewed as the US buying the loyalty of European nations. This resulted in the Berlin Blockade when Stalin cutoff all roads and railways to West Berlin. We overcame that by flying the aid into West Berlin. Then came the formation of NATO in 1949 and the Warsaw Pact in 1955. There were more things that followed.

Do you remember seeing Regan on television promoting the Strategic Defense Initiative that came to be called Star Wars? The USSR simply could not afford to match the billions of dollars the U.S. was pouring into high-tech military research. Attempting to keep up with SDI pushed the already fragile Soviet economy toward total collapse. Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev offered to eliminate all nuclear weapons if Reagan would scrap SDI. Reagan refused to give up the program, but the pressure ultimately forced the Soviets back to the negotiating table to sign major arms-reduction treaties.

The USSR was defeated without the US having to fire a single shot at it.

You may be correct on many things in this post. But in old WW2 shows That Truman told Stalin about the bomb and he seemed unsurprised. Supposedly they knew about it from sympathetic scientist. Maybe that was an old propaganda film I saw.

They and the rest of the European Union stopped buying from Russia following the invasion. Let me be clear that Trump had nothing to do with that. Also, before the invasion on Ukraine, Germany was getting 12% of it's oil from the US, 11% from Kazakhstan, 10% from Norway, and the remaining 1/3 from Libya, Nigeria, and Saudi Arabia. By January 1, 2023, Germany was no longer purchasing any Russian oil.

Now, Germany purchases 15-18% of it's crude from the US, 13-20% from Norway, 13% from Kazakhstan, 9-11% form Libya, and the rest come from elsewhere in the world. The Nord Stream pipeline provided natural gas. The series of underwater explosions that occurred along that pipe line was in September 2022. Trump was opposed to the Nord Stream pipeline in 2019 as was president-elect Biden in December 2020. However, the Biden administration lifted the sanction in January 2021 to maintain positive relations with Germany and other EU nations, as they were all in favor of using the pipeline to purchase natural gas.

Following the 2022 Nord Stream explosions during the Biden administration, Norway increased it's pipeline supply to the EU, making them the largest supplier. The US became the largest LNG supplier. Here's why LNG was more expensive than natural gas through a pipeline. US natural gas was piped from shale fields to specialized coastal terminals in Louisianan and Texas. It was then cooled into a liquid and then pumped into massive ships called LNG carriers. Think of these as floating thermos bottle to keep the gas cooled. Once they arrived in European ports, it was pumped from the ships into terminals where it was warmed back up into a gas. This process is 3 to 4 times more expensive than it would be to send it from the fields straight to consumption. You make it sound like the US was price gouging the EU, which isn't the case. There are no pipelines going from the US to Europe, therefore this was the only process to get it to Europe.

Sure. Who had the motivation to blow it up? Trump puts heavy weight on the Germans to not open it. Biden threatened that Nordstrom would end if necessary. The German people protest to open Nordstrom 2, the United States of America destroys it. I guess you did not see videos of Trump and Biden on the issue. There are issues with capitalism that may be attributed to man's sinful nature and such is only becoming worse the more man turns away from God. Every economic system has such flaws including feudalism and an absolute monarchy. I have heard it said that the best form of government would be a benevolent dictatorship but such is only as good as the "dictator" that is in power. Scriptures do not speak of a democracy or the constitutional representative republic that is our United States but I believe it is the best possible form of government we can hope for until the return of the "King of Kings!"
