How to Respond to Muslim Neighbors

I have painted nobody as anything, I have toldtruths. Simple and if you read both ¿religious? texts with the Helper's leaading the God of the Bible loves all of His created beings, Allah is just thoe opposite and loves only Mu8slim men. Women are slaves.
I have noticed that you changed the subject instead of addressing the issues. And “the truth” you claimed is that all Muslims are evil. That’s painting with a broad brush. And it’s a false statement.

Just to ensure I haven’t missed anything, I asked ChatGPT to evaluate your claims. This is the response:

—
No. The Quran does not teach that God loves only Muslim men. It explicitly names women alongside men among those who receive forgiveness and reward (Quran 33:35), says believing men and women are allies (9:71), and says God will not let the deeds of any person—male or female—go unrewarded (3:195).

It also does not say that women as a whole are slaves. It distinguishes free women from enslaved women. But the Quran does recognize slavery: it refers to enslaved women, addresses marriage to them, and discusses emancipation. Traditional readings of some passages also permit sexual relations with enslaved women. So the accurate answer is that the text includes and regulates slavery, including women’s enslavement, while also affirming women’s spiritual standing.

So just how many Muslims do you know?

My best friend is a Muslim man named Abu, who came here from Mali. I know quite a few Muslims and have gone to the local Islamic Center for post Ramadan meals and so forth.

I saw hundreds of “Christians” swarming into our nation’s Capitol to attack police officers and try to overturn an election.

You have a biased view of that situation. Is CNN your favorite news source?

Conservatives did not swarm the nations capitol to attack police officers, but to protest a stolen election.

Anne Askew would not trust the mainstream media view of conservatives expressing dismay at rigged elections.

I toured the remains of the federal building in Oklahona City where a self-professed Christian detonated a bomb he made killing many innocent people (including children) and then heard people on Christian radio accuse the government of setting up McVeigh to look bad by putting a daycare in a building that was obviously going to be a target — as a Christian, I don’t look at government buildings as targets.

I have also seen many Christians physically assaulting protestors and others, as verbally assault folks in church (including me) for pointing out in a Bible study that Jesus did not use violence against those who were crucifying Him.

I could go on, but I sense you are going to reject everything I’m saying anyway, probably by claiming those persons are real Christians. But you may make that distinction for Christians, but I suspect you wouldn’t even consider making that distinction for Muslims.

I oppose violence by leftists, churchians, religious people, atheists, and conservatives.

A genuine Christian will not resort to violence, vengeance, bullying, murder, or war.

An genuine Muslim might execute Christians, depending on how they interpret the Qu’ran or the Hadith.

If you even glanced at the introduction to that report you would see that anti-government terrorism has risen among the left-wing but “remains much lower than historical levels of violence carried out by right-wing and jihadist attackers.”
Sure, if you lump right wing and jihadist violence together, it might outweigh leftist violence.

But I have not seen MAGA people rioting, raping, looting, or burning down buildings like Antifa, BLM, and other left wing anarchists and protestors.

Who is burning down Paris, Milan, Belgium, Spain, and Albania right now? Not MAGA people. Socialists and Islamic terrorists.

So you know that not all Muslims are trying to kill Christians, and many follow the tenets of their faith and are honorable people… So we actually agree.
You have a biased view of that situation.
I watched it happen live, and I was live commenting on Baptistboard when it happened. I also saw a lot of live streaming from the rioters themselves coming across social media as it happened. So my “bias” has to do with facts and witnessing the event, not all of the historical revisionism that has occurred since then.
Is CNN your favorite news source?
No. Are the MAGA lunatic channels and conspiracy sites your favorite news sources?
Conservatives did not swarm the nations capitol to attack police officers, but to protest a stolen election.
Okay, you have something of a point. They attacked the Capitol to stop the certification of the election and they were screaming that they wanted to lynch Mike Pence (“Hang Mike Pence!”). The Capitol Police officers just got in the way of their criminal activity so they didn’t hesitate to attack them. Does that clarification satisfy you?
I oppose violence by leftists, churchians, religious people, atheists, and conservatives.
I do too. I just want to clarify your commitment to that statement since you seem to be defensive about the January 6th rioters. Do you think Trump was wrong to pardon the violent attackers of our nation’s Capitol and leadership? Yes or no?
A genuine Christian will not resort to violence, vengeance, bullying, murder, or war.
Not sure what you mean here. Are you a pacifist? Are Christians who serve in the military not genuine Christians?
An genuine Muslim might execute Christians, depending on how they interpret the Qu’ran or the Hadith,
The Quran does command fighting certain People of the Book in 9:29 until they pay jizya; that is a real passage, though it says “fight,” not “execute Christians for their faith.” Other passages say to fight those who fight you without transgressing (2:190) and permit kindness and justice toward people who do not fight or expel you (60:8). A hadith in Sahih al-Bukhari also gives a severe warning against killing a protected non-Muslim.

A more precise version would be: “Some Muslims, following particular militant interpretations of Islamic texts, may claim religious grounds for killing Christians; the Quran does not simply command Muslims to execute Christians for being Christian.”
Sure, if you lump right wing and jihadist violence together, it might outweigh leftist violence.
A lot of events claimed to be left-wing violence are not that clear. The guy who nearly shot Trump in the head had unknown motives. The person accused of murdering Charlie Kirk has not claimed any motive — it is alleged that he didn’t like Kirk preaching hate, but that’s not specifically a left- or right-wing concern.
But I have not seen MAGA people rioting, raping, looting, or burning down buildings like Antifa, BLM, and other left wing anarchists and protestors.
And I know that a lot of right-wing agitators infiltrated a fair number of those marches to cause mayhem in order to discredit BLM. It happened here in Fort Worth immediately after Fort Worth was noted for not having any violence in their BLM marches. I know a number of people who were there and the police essentially said the same thing.
Who is burning down Paris, Milan, and Albania right now? Not MAGA people. Socialists and Islamic terrorists.
Irrelevant. We are talking about the US. Why would MAGA people be rioting in Europe? And what real evidence is there for Islamic terrorists being responsible?

You are focused on MAGA extremists — and ignoring Muslim hostility toward those who disagree with Mohammed.
Are you denying that all MAGA extremists are polite when someone disagrees with Trump? All my responses to the topic, "How to respond to Muslim neighbors," how to respond as Christians. I have seen many MAGA extremists making hateful statements regarding Muslims by lumping into all being Islamic extremists. So, I mentioned how there are many MAGA supporters who respond with hostility to those who disagree with Trump. Politically, I'm a conservative who has disagreed on issues with every president. I support my disagreements with facts, yet I've been called a "commie," libtard," "traitor," "RINO," and many other derogatory names. I've been told that since I disagree with Trump, I'm not a patriot of this country and that I should move to another.

Even though all my responses have been regarding how to respond to Muslims, you accuse me of focusing only on MAGA extremists. It seems your attention automatically focused on that while ignoring every other post I made in this topic. I find it sad that many in our society have become vile in how they disagree with someone on an opposing few. Instead of resorting to name-calling, why not respond without it?

Remember, Jesus never responded personal malice or sinful hostility. He did display righteous anger, sharp rebuke, and direct confrontation against hypocrisy, injustice, and greed. Calling someone names because they disagree with you or a politician you support is not righteous anger.

You're trying to tell me that none of those who swarmed the capitol building and attacked police officers were conservatives? Really? Here's a list of just a few conservatives who supported Trump that were arrested and charged for being part of that swarm breaking into the building.

  • Jacob Chansley (The QAnon Shaman) was arrested three days later, on January 9, 2021, after turning himself in to the FBI in Arizona. Calls himself a Christian.
  • Richard "Bigo" Barnett was arrested on January 8, 2021, in his home state of Arkansas. Calls himself a Christian.
  • Adam Johnson (lectern photograph) was booked into jail on January 8, 2021, in Florida.
  • Derrick Evans resigned from the West Virginia House of Delegates and was arrested on January 8, 2021. Calls himself a Christian.
  • Klete Keller was charged on January 13, 2021, after former teammates identified him in video footage.
  • Enrique Tarrio was not even in Washington, D.C., on January 6, having been arrested two days prior on separate charges and ordered to leave the city. He was arrested on federal conspiracy charges related to January 6 over a year later, in March 2022.
  • Stewart Rhodes was arrested on January 13, 2022, following a lengthy federal investigation into the Oath Keepers' coordinated planning. Calls himself a Christian.
  • Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro were indicted by a federal grand jury for contempt of Congress months later—Bannon in November 2021 and Navarro in June 2022.
Statistically, the likelihood of many others in that swarm were MAGA supporters and some who identify themselves as Christians.

I do not know any MAGA people, so I have no idea if they are polite or not.

I do not engage in name-calling.

I do know Democrats who are hateful and malicious toward Israel, homeschoolers, vaccine rejectors, closed border advocates, and conservatives.

You evade the issue of left wing riots in Europe and Italy.

I don't disagree with you at all that the jihadists are dangerous. They're very dangerous.

I didn't say all MAGA people were not polite when disagreeing with others. But I know and have experienced many who verbally attack those who disagree with them and Trump. I also agree there are Democrats who are like that as well, but I also know some who are not.

Some of it.

However, it looks like you concede that I did not approach the events of January 6th with bias, which is the real topic, not all the other things you want to introduce.

So for the purposes of our discussion, we apparently agree that the January 6th rioters were an example of professing Christians doing the same type of thing that extremist Muslims do. And therefore, just as we don’t judge all Christians by the actions of extremist MAGA persons, we must not judge all Muslims by the actions of relatively few of them.

Your name-calling is very immature.
Not name calling, I’ve watched some of those MAGA channels and they are designed to make people lunatics. And if you are wondering why I mentioned them at all, you insinuated that I was getting my bias from watching CNN.
I do not visit any conspiracy sites or news channels.
Baptistboard is chock full of conspiracy theories and has been for the 24 years I’ve been around, so your statement is false on its face. You just might not recognize it.

I do not own a television.
Really? Then why did you try to tie my alleged bias to CNN? How can you even have an opinion about CNN unless you are familiar with it. Or you are simply repeating someone else’s opinions?

And how are you essentially repeating a lot of the same conspiracy theories and attitudes that are found on MAGA news channels without visiting them?
You refer to a tiny portion of the rigged election protestors.
No, not at all. That’s revisionism.
Who do you claim to be ‘violent attackers”?
The persons who violently attacked Capitol Pooice officers and either confessed to it or were convicted in court (with video evidence) of violence. You know, the plain sense of those words.

Trump pardoned them and has wanted to give them reparations for being prosecuted for their crimes. Do you agree with Trump’s actions, yes or no?

People who kill in war are not obeying the non-violence commands of Jesus, who told us to love our enemies,
Fair enough.
Surah At-Tawbah (9:5 “slay the idolaters wherever ye find them”.

Surah Al-Baqarah (2:190–193) “Kill them wherever you find them” (2:191)
Both quotations are based on real Quran verses, but they need context and one wording caveat.
  • At-Tawbah 9:5: Yusuf Ali’s older translation says, “slay the idolaters wherever ye find them.” Other translations use “kill the polytheists.” The verse also mentions the sacred months, capture, siege, and ambush. The quotation is recognizable, though it leaves out that surrounding wording. The next verse, 9:6, says that if one of the polytheists seeks protection, he must be granted it and escorted to safety.
  • Al-Baqarah 2:191: “Kill them wherever you find them” is an accurate rendering in some translations; others say “wherever you overtake them.” But quoting it alone omits the preceding 2:190, which says to fight those who fight you and not to transgress. Verse 2:191 also refers to expelling them from where they had expelled the Muslims and limits fighting at the Sacred Mosque.
So the wording is substantially accurate, but presenting either line by itself can give a misleading impression of its scope. These are passages about fighting in a conflict; the texts and their interpretation should be considered in their surrounding verses.

Ah, you blame infiltrators. No proof, though.
There’s proof, but it’s not worth getting into since the topic here is not judging all Muslims are extremists.
You evade the issue of left wing riots in Europe and Italy.
Because it is irrelevant. There are no MAGA rioters in Africa either. You are trying to change the subject so you won’t have to deal with the claims you made previously.

They believe a book not written by thier prophet is a holy transcript and that alone is evil but then there are those 164 verses and the last time I bothered they were easily found on the web.

And the male cutting the heads off gets, what is it, 72 virgins in Eternity? Why do women serve as a reward? Why do loyal' girls not receive 72 super Men? The whole thing is the product of a sick mind.

But does that make all Muslims evil?
Just the religious ones. To make the convoluted answer to your convoluted question clear; Not all Arabs are included but we must learn to pull our heads out of the sand and read the Qu'ran and the Hadith. The is a hate and bloody doctrine the Muslim adheres to that we had best learn.

Will we not from what I see in the Bible.
