1) Voting for Jesus ??? 1) he is in eligible to run - 2) if a poll worker saw that - he would probably think - "that voter is a nut!"

It might be more common than you think.

According to the linked article, an analysis of five Florida counties found the names of some of the write-in candidates for the 2024 presidential election. 309 votes were counted for Jesus Christ... and 83 votes were counted for Mickey Mouse.

Well, to put it bluntly, everyone one of them is dumb!
If these folks were to organize, could make a difference - at least in local elections! Then you move up to State, .....

2) you are aware that some States/ Commonwealths do NOT count any write-in vote and that write-in will be considered void! In others S/C certain condition must be met.

3) are you involved with your political party ? If not, call your county and get involved! I am the town Chair for my party.
I am doing what I can to make a difference!

3) Just curious - what State/Commonwealth do you live in?
I live in Georgia. I used to be a member of the Republican Party, but they went too far right and now they have lost their way. Because those in Congress had no spine, Trump ran all over them. They gave Trump over them because they were afraid they would be primaried and lose their seats. Instead of working for the people. They lack intestinal fortitude.

They're dumb? I'll tell you who was dumb and that's those who voted for Trump in the primary when there was a much better candidate. Now our country is in a mess thanks to Trump.

We are actually a lot better off. But it your whole life is wrapped up in the things that irritate you, you are going to have a hard time seeing the things you should be thankful for.
So throw your vote to the wind. Give the opportunity to the socialists and communists and dare I say the muslim worshippers of satan.
What have you got to lose? You don’t appear to be thankful for what you have.

If you think the Republican Party went too far right, you are not very separated from the world.

I'm thankful for what I have, but none of it came because of Trump.

Here's what happened to our country. It got away from God who gave us the ability to elect our own leaders. They began voting for politicians who tickled their ears rather than voting for people who would live up to the promises they made. The country began turning away from God.

What has Trump accomplished as president besides a temporary lowering of taxes and deporting illegal immigrants? His economic policies have been failures. Trump is not a fiscal conservative. Heck, he's really not a Republican. The Democrats are going to take the House and quite possibly the Senate. That blame falls square on the shoulders of Trump and the GOP.

Doesn't matter what party it is as IMHO, need to pick someone over in moral and values. Wished that Congress and Senate could put aside their differences and remember why there are there to serve not bicker.
The President should set the tone not just for the country but for the world as a whole. Regardless of party, need to allow the Commander in Chief to set the tone regardless of party or issues.
Wished we could go back to the days over in where arguments agree to disagree and not bicker like four or five years old but as grown ups.

Would it be a foregone conclusion that you’ll be supporting either Vance/Rubio if that’s what it comes down to?

How would you feel about your state's governor throwing his hat in the ring?
How about a Rubio/Vance ticket???!!!

This nation wide election results - was IMHO - - an Anti-Trump Vote.
If Vance were to be the R- nominee in '28 - he would probably loose being too close to Trump.

If that were to be the case - Mike Pence may be an excellent choice!

Isn’t it about time people stopped using their vote in consideration of who they hate and start using it to do what they think is best?

Last time I checked, Trump wasn’t on the ballot, so nobody had the opportunity to vote against him. Israel was not on the ballot. So you can’t vote against Israel either.
Actually, Israel and Trump agreed yesterday to dispense with the 4 billion dollars in aid.

So you could say that Israel handed the anti-Israel crowd a win yesterday, since it was Netanyahu’s idea.

Since the 2028 presidential race begins today, November 4, 2026, I will go ahead and name my preferred presidential candidate for the 2028 presidential election:

I'll support any Republican that supports our constitutional republic form of government.

I'll never vote for another Democrat. Didn't vote for him or his daddy.

Trump is not a fiscal conservative. Heck, he's really not a Republican.

There was a time when being fiscally conservative was synonymous with being called a Republican, but it seems the party has shifted away from that. I had hoped he would begin really addressing that issue when he enlisted Elon Musk to look into government waste, but that story seems to have faded away. I still have lingering questions about what really happened there.

But you're right. He hasn't nearly been as fiscally conservative as some of his Democrat predecessors like Bill Clinton, who successfully balanced the budget and even achieved federal surpluses for four straight years.
