You are correct that Romans 9:13 is about God creating people for His purpose, but it isn’t limited to Israel. He also created Pharaoh for His purpose.

AND…. Paul says just a few verses later that God created specific people for the purpose of demonstrating the riches of His mercy…. “Even us”… meaning Christians.

So, yes, Romans 9 very clearly teaches the sovereignty of God in electing specific people to salvation.

    peace to you

They in Matthew 7:23 did not meet the condition set in verse 21, . . . that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

You have FAILED to show what I have clearly shown from the Bible in the OP, to be wrong!

Your continued MISUSE of this passage in Romans shows that you are only interested in pushing your FALSE beliefs on God electing the "elect" to salvation, when this passage is 100% NOT saying anything about this!. It is clearly God PREFERRING one person over the other. Period!

I’m only interested in understanding scripture in context. You are only interested in yelling and insults.

You are not interested in dialog so I’m not interested in attempting to dialog with you.

    I wish you well

    peace to you

This passage has nothing to do with God’s choice in election. Notice they claim to have done all sorts of good things.

Notice Jesus says “…. I never knew you…”

    peace to you

What part of "doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven," doesn't apply and why?

Jesus isn’t talking about being elect to salvation in that passage. He is talking about those that do the will of His Father seeing the Kingdom of Heaven.

If you only consider that passage scripture, you could clearly see a works based salvation in that passage.

If you look a little further, Matthew 11:27, Jesus tells us no one knows the Son but the Father and no one knows the Father but the Son and those to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

Again, we see God actively choosing who will will know God based on the will of God alone.

Again, the folks from Matthew 7 are told “.. I never knew you” before they are cast out. Salvation is about being in a right relationship with God. If a person is in such a relationship, they will have God Holy Spirit indwelling which enables them to do the will of God.

    peace to you

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

And what would that will be?
