God Cannot Deny Himself

Yet another obscene thread, proclaiming false and vile doctrine. Of course God can save whoever He pleases, even if they hold to mistaken traditions such as Calvinism or Arminianism.

I believe I was saved at around age 15, and I held the views I was taught in Sunday School. The key was that I believed Jesus died for me, and that I was a wretched sinner in need of salvation, and that He loved me and would be my Savior and Lord.

This poster loves to post off topic, non germane personal insults. But does he know that John used the phrase "believes into Him" rather than believes in Him?

Romans 9:16 says our salvation does not depend upon what we will or do to be saved, but on God alone. Duh

Sorry but what is obscene about saying that a false gospel doesn't bring anybody to salvation?

The obscene blurb defines "a false gospel" as one which is not perfectly in accord with God's truth. And that claim is obscene.
I have just looked again at the OP. I see nothing there that demands 100% accord with God's truth. Of course, that should be the aim, but we are all human and therefore our knowledge of God and His truth is limited. Thew OP even gives examples of what they mean, including a change of life-style, joining in with what Christians do, and experiencing a moral reformation.

Once again, denial of the obvious. Here are the obscene blurb quotations that demand 100% accord with God's truth:

"God does not, will not, and cannot give faith to His people through a lie, for God cannot deny Himself."

"People do not come to faith in Jesus Christ by a false gospel."

Sure God provided the pure gospel in His inspired text, but our understanding of the gospel varies, and to claim only one interpretation results in salvation is obscene. The OP claims if the Calvinists are right, all of the Arminians are unsaved and vice versa. Totally Obscene!

Sounds like, Van, you are claiming that people can be saved by believing a lie.
