Question for Baptists

I went to the site, but the vid screen didn’t come up, it was blank.

Heading, blank, then article underneath.

I had no problems, it's there.

This guy worked for the priests all over the world for 35 years.

He said every priest he worked for told him not to read the Bible, it's to confusing, if he had any questions to ask him.

The Apostolic tradition can be whatever the RCC wants it to be.

Bible alone traditions can be whatever they want to be. It is manifestly demonstrated by the thousands of interpreted distinctives formulated by men, who conflict on doctrine in Bible alonism.

I say I am Catholic, instantly you know what I believe, you say you are Bible alone, I don’t know what the hell you believe. It’s a vast sea of conflicting doctrines, based on human founded interpretations and traditions.

They made the Bible the source of all their divisions.

LOL, none of us can argue with that! You have a very good point.

It wouldn't be that way if there wasn't that fella called the Devil, Satan.

There was a time when the people in the 1st century were "in one accord."

Those days are gone for now, but not forever.

Christ will one day bring back that "one accord."

Tried again bro, same thing.

Why Does the Roman Catholic Church Keep the Bible Out of People's Hands?

Blank space where vid screen is I suppose meant to be.

Then.

In this video, Costi asks Mike Gendron to explain why the RCC has historically kept the Bible out of the people’s possession.

Is this the page layout?

The Pope did it, he doesn't want you to see such things.

The Catholics say the Pope knows everything, there's your proof!

Well that’s right. People ask all the time, ‘ What would Jesus do Johny ? “ but sometimes the more pertinent question is ‘ What would the devil do?’.

From my perspective the devil has done his doings by decoupling Scripture from the singular Apostolic Oral Tradition which maintains one interpretation of Scripture down the ages from the Apostles.

Luther’s “inspired” idea was to give every ploughboy and his dog a Bible to interpret for himself, and disregard the ancient traditional understanding of it.

Then the very devil would sit back and watch the division and chaos ensue, each man would contend he follows Scripture at odds with the other.

The devil would market the Bible alone idea as emancipation and liberation from that old tyrannical corrupted institution, and each man would be free to interpret scripture for himself according to his own opinions.

The devil would love to enjoy the nullification of Scripture by fomenting diverse and conflicting interpretations of scripture, muddying the waters for countless millions. And the part that would make him chuckle most, is each man would think himself guided from on high in his interpretations of scripture, and they would be blind to the trick played on them, blissfully unaware, so as even to deceive the elect.

A devilish superior intelligence would do this, first to nullify and blunt the scripture from evangelising the unbelievers by conflicting incomprehensible interpretations and secondly to divide Christianity by sowing conflicting interpretations and doctrines.
Thirdly, by making the Word of God relative to each, morality would follow, ‘did God really say you must not.......?’
Yes, if I were the devil, I would do exactly this, amongst other things, like kicking your flower pots over.

There was a time when the people in the 1st century were "in one accord."

Yes there was. In fact for the first 1500 years there was mostly one accord.

Christ will one day bring back that "one accord."

Of that we can be certain.

Mate, I don't want to say what's on my mind. I'd rather we try and get along despite our differences.

I'm pretty sure if we met and the Protestant/ Catholic thing didn't exist, we would be somewhere fishing telling large tales.

But that's not the way it is, one would end up drowning the other/ saying, I've never seen that man in my life.

I owe it to you bro to give you my unvarnished, honest perspective on these things.

I welcome feedback and perspectives on any particular point, believing that anything can be hashed out. I learn the most hearing other views.

Don’t feel constrained to speak your mind, if I’m wrong on something, I hope someone would point it out.

I fish with Baptist and Brethren friends, we haven’t drowned each other yet.
