Who Caused the Cold War?

There are issues with capitalism that may be attributed to man's sinful nature and such is only becoming worse the more man turns away from God. Every economic system has such flaws including feudalism and an absolute monarchy. I have heard it said that the best form of government would be a benevolent dictatorship but such is only as good as the "dictator" that is in power. Scriptures do not speak of a democracy or the constitutional representative republic that is our United States but I believe it is the best possible form of government we can hope for until the return of the "King of Kings!"
We could have regular citizens only run for Congress and president. Say if you made to much money you could not run . Say if you took money from special interest you would be put in jail. If you got paid even out of office for special interests you would go to jail. You could not take money for making a decision. No bribes. It also means billionaires could not run or contribute to the people running the government. But the billionaires would never surrender this .

Greed is rampant regardless of what type of government is in place. I'll take capitalism any day. We've seen how poorly communism worked in the USSR, North Korea, and Cuba. China's communism model evolved to integrate state-controlled capitalism, transforming it into a global economic superpower.

In North Korea and Cuba there are two classes of people: The political elite and the poor. The USSR was like that. China is now somewhere in between now.

If people truly want to have economic freedom, then capitalism is the route to take because It's the only economic model where someone can go from rags to riches.

Although you might be correct, why do we have sanctions on poor people like Cuba, North Korea? Do we make them poor by our denying them medicines and many other goods. It is evil to keep poor people down with US (not UN) sanctions if they are so bad, why do we continue to restrict them and keep them down?

A capitalist economy with a representative republic form of government is the best possible scenario and the reason for which I love living in the United States. Capitalism devoid of any morality or sense of human decency ultimately leads to tyranny and pretty much the fulfulment of what Marx and Engals envisioned with their "Communist Manifesto."

Conservative Republicans (Christians) want to cut all the welfare and social programs but they often fail to realize that charity begins with the individual, not the government. We are commanded to "love thy neighbor" and once upon a time, it was the Church that had and managed all of the welfare and benevolence programs (soup kitchens, rescue missions, food pantries, etc.). All of this was abdicated to the government where "charity" was replaced with "entitlement." This is not something that is able to be fixed through government legislation, it is something that must be preceded by repentance and spiritual renewal.

I am all for cutting the welfare programs so long as the Church is ready to step up and become the social "safety net" that it once was.

No one was trying to promote Communism or Lenin. But we were trying to promote do not kill, do not steal. And what have we done since the fall of the USSR? Have we destroyed nations or fed them? We have homeless in the USA but we would rather spend our wealth on the Billionaires. Or rather let them use our wealth for their profit and not ours. Did you see Trump shaking hands with the Former Head of Al Quida? I say former because Al Quida changed their name to something else.

Edited to add, look what we have done to Germany's economy? The wall as bad as it was is nowhere near as bad as what we have done to them under the Trump, Biden, Trump regimes. They were the world's number 4 economy and a manufacturing powerhouse. What are they now? Why did we do that evil thing to the German people?
We have two economic models to consider, individual enterprise, or central command and control. The central command one makes the citizens slaves of the state. There is no need to change the subject.

Scripture does speak of democracy, of rule by member vote, not the dictates of elitists. Individual enterprise describes God setting the choice of life or death before us, rather than dictating salvation without faith.

You can look at it like he does and say “they, they…they… no matter which party they were elected from, they all have the same agenda.”

Or you could just recognize that there is more to what meets the political eye. That things will hasten to an end. That God has control of the situation in governments. There is a point where Christians should be able to recognize that God has the final say and nothing happens that takes God by surprise. God can allow and overcome whatever people do.
What we understand from Scripture is that God will allow only so much before as has been the case on smaller scales, the iniquity of men has reached the fullest extent of mercy that God will allow.

Take comfort in knowing that God is in control. Take action knowing that today is the accepted day. Now is the accepted time.

Scripture never presents democracy as a governing model. Moral choice is not political structure.

Britain and Poland had scoffed at Germany saying if there was a war they would be in Berlin in a week. How did that works out.
News to me. One reason Prime Minister Chamberlain "appeased" Germany was because he knew that Britain was in no fit state to fight a war, due in part to retrictions that the USA had pushed on to Europe through the League of Nations.
Years ago Putin and the Russians gave details and I had it on an old phone but no more. There is a whole other side to the story that never gets talked about.
My late father was on the convoys bringing aid to Russia, sailing over the top of Norway into Murmansk to keep them from being destroyed.

Who gets to decide who a “regular citizen” is?
Say if you made to much money you could not run .
Who gets to decide what “too much money means”?
Say if you took money from special interest you would be put in jail.
Special interests are simply liked minded citizens that pool their resources to support candidates with similar beliefs.
If you got paid even out of office for special interests you would go to jail.
You want to put a lot of people in jail for some reason.
You could not take money for making a decision. No bribes.
Agreed

You are arguing for fascism and communism.

You want to limit free speech, limit political participation.

You want to put everyone that disagrees with you in jail.

Here in the United States, we tend to reject that kind of thinking, or at least we did until recently. The radical left has embraced fascism and communism.

Peace to you

I am not arguing for fascism nor Communism, but against corruption by the President and Congress of the United States of America, who are bought and paid by the billionaires and globalist Corporations against the interests of the average American Citizen. You know, the American People.

Whether you realize it or not, what you are saying is communism and fascism. It is not American. It is not for the people.

And yet, an overwhelming majority of these “American People” voted for this POTUS and Congress.

The way we change things in America is to engage in the arena of ideas and convince people your views are in their best interest and get them to vote for your candidate, like DT did in 2024.

We don’t advocate for putting people in jail because their supporters gave money for their campaigns.

We don’t advocate for putting people in jail because we don’t like their policies.

We don’t advocate for not letting people run for office if they don’t meet an ambiguous standard of being an “average” citizen or if they are successful and make “too much” money.

All those things occur in countries where fascism and communism rule.

If you lived in the United States, you might understand that better, unless you were raised in some ultra leftest State that is rolling toward fascism, which several are.

Peace to you

You have no clue. I am not talking about campaign contributions. I am talking about bribes. You don't even know what corruption is. You probably still think Iraq has weapons of mass destruction. You still don't even know Bush was lying.

"If I lived in the United States"? What, did you think I was from Mars because I am Against corruption?
