    I am not a member of the church I now attend. I don't know if I will join. I can't see church rolls, church letters, or anything resembling such mentioned in Scripture.

    The Baptist Faith and message is intentionally vague in some areas. Calvinism being the prime example.

    Very true. That is the story of the entire world. Wars have winners and losers. The losers...well ...they lose a lot.

    They do mAke decisions on who will dnd dho till not teach. They make decisions on what is CND is not taught. (Ie. Calvinism vs non Calvinism avoidance and omission of imprecatory Psalms in current series)

    John, The head of lifeway makes decisions on what will dnd won't be taught in literature as well as who the teachers will be. Thx head of lifeway makes doctrinal decisions

    No true conservative would place a woman in doctrinal deciding authority over a man.

    The only way that can happen is if your church was planted by the local association and the association placed legally binding Liens on it. There are a couple our association has done like this over the years, but the liens have expired.

    And I held that view until I became good friends with a SBC missionary who left the mission field and returned home. He says SBC foreign missions are a complete beuaurocratic nightmare.
