    Calvin denied Lucifer is Satan

It isn't necessary for me to watch those men. Scripture makes it clear that the plan of salvation will always remain the same. Hebrews 10:14 (ESV) - For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

    Calvin denied Lucifer is Satan

How does the plan of salvation change for the Jews during the tribulation?

    Calvin denied Lucifer is Satan

Huh? Romans 10:12-13 (ESV) - For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

How many here use any Greek or Hebrew study tools?

I would think it would be even more difficult these days since many people now communicate with acronyms.

    Calvin denied Lucifer is Satan

It’s the Ruckman/Riplinger brand of KJVOism. The question is, at what point does it become a heretical cult? It alarms me that they teach the book of James is irrelevant today and is only meant to be read by Jews after the rapture. That’s the same nullifying of scripture that Joseph Smith committed.

    Does Free Will Limit God?

I would think that if Jonah's will was truly be free in a libertarian sense, he would have been able to keep resisting God until God gave up and moved on.

    Does Free Will Limit God?

I took a look at many of the reputable translations, and all of them fit the first definition. (KJV) - And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. (NASB) - and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but...

    Does Free Will Limit God?

I would say no, since God was going to make sure that Jonah would end up in Nineveh one way or another.

    Does Free Will Limit God?

If the whole world was propitiated for, then everybody would be saved, but we know that isn't the case. John's consistent usage of "world" when referring to salvation is always limited to a specific group of people. In this case, he's talking about "us," the believers. Ephesians 2:8-9 says...

    Does Free Will Limit God?

It would seem to me that if God desired everyone to be saved, then He could save everyone regardless of their choice to reject Him. It is true that He takes no pleasure in the destruction of the wicked in one sense, and in another sense, He does. Deuteronomy 28:63 (ESV) - And as the Lord took...

    Does Free Will Limit God?

This "nonsense" comes from letting the text say what it says. If he died as a ransom for all, then all would be saved. In context, "all" refers to the kings and rulers.

I decided not to discuss anymore.

Brother Shawn, Many of us can agree on what the scriptures communicate to us, regardless of the translation. Just know that some of us use an English Bible other than the KJV, but that's okay—we don't need to divide over it. I know that Christianity is heavily regulated in China, and I think...

    Is vigor same as sin?

Shawn, nobody here is going to take you seriously when all you do is say, “it’s perfect, I’m right, you’re wrong, end of discussion.” Many here find that to be a bit silly and I would rather see you start to engage in a higher level of debate instead of seeing you getting laughed off with every...

    Does Free Will Limit God?

I would say - He died for those He intended to save.

    Does Free Will Limit God?

Ah, so God will not act until man freely acts first, perhaps by some limitation He puts on Himself, but a limitation nonetheless. No. As you said, there’s things He can and can’t do that have to be in line with his own nature. I’ve read Isaiah 59 and what it demonstrates to me is how bound...

    Does Free Will Limit God?

So would you say that He wants to save everyone, but if they won’t obey and He has no other choice, He set aside His mercy and will inflict wrath instead?

    Does Free Will Limit God?

Hello Brother Charlie, thank you for your response. If it’s God’s desire to save everyone, couldn’t He save those who freely choose to reject Him anyway, or is He choosing not to exercise that power?

    Does Free Will Limit God?

I want to continue a point of thought from another thread that was closed earlier. Brother @Ben1445 said: If God wants everyone to come to Him, but they freely choose not to, does He no longer have the power to save them?

    The True Gospel Preacher

I can tell anyone that if they believe in Christ, they will be saved. There’s no way for me to know if God has given them the ability to believe. There’s no way for me to know if they are professing a genuine faith or if their faith will persevere. Neither of us can read the heart of another...
