    Does Free Will Limit God?

One last thing and I'll let it go. When Christ was the satisfaction for our sins, he did NOT forgive sins, He covered them. If man dies in this life without repenting by faith in Christ, he will die in his sins.

    Does Free Will Limit God?

This is the basis for hearing some say that man is not sent to Hell for his sins, they were covered by Christ, man is sent to Hell because he did not repent by faith in Christ, the only way to escape.

    Does Free Will Limit God?

I'm sure you've heard the phrase, "sin was covered by Christ." This is the satisfaction for our sins to the Father (taking our sins out of the way) that made it possible for us to be saved by grace through faith

    Does Free Will Limit God?

Let me see if I can hopefully clarify the meaning of propitiation/satisfaction, at leas to where you can see how I see it. Paul told us that we are dead in trespass and sins, no man seeks after God. This is where John Calvin gave birth to the Total Depravity. When Christ died on the Cross...

How Can Man Be Just With God? God Found a Ransom!

At least I know who I am now, thanks.

If you consider that an insult, I guess that's what I did.

How Can Man Be Just With God? God Found a Ransom!

"Whosoever will let him come..." That's the God I know, love. and serve.

How Can Man Be Just With God? God Found a Ransom!

Personally, and I'm dead serious, I have no time for a Calvinist God, I would rather be separated from Him. But that is not the God I know.

How Can Man Be Just With God? God Found a Ransom!

Yes, that's a sad fact! We can certainly agree on that.

I decided not to discuss anymore.

Now you're no longer a target. That should feel good!

How Can Man Be Just With God? God Found a Ransom!

I know it's a tough concept for a Calvinist, but Christ was the satisfaction for "our sins" (the saved) and also the sins of the whole world (including the lost). It's been said that the satisfaction for sin is as wide as the sin. If man does not benefit from this satisfaction provided by...

How Can Man Be Just With God? God Found a Ransom!

There are tons of Greek words that have several meanings and must be applied to the context of Scripture to understand its exact meaning. "World" is definitely one of them. But there can be no mistake in 1 John 2:2, "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for...

New: Iran Folds Like a Wash-and-Wear Suit, Starts Begging for a Ceasefire

What I'm seeing is a maybe on the cease fire, with Iran claiming victory. LOL

How Can Man Be Just With God? God Found a Ransom!

It's a shame we're divided over these things, seeing that all of us claim Christ as our Savior. I suppose Christ spoke a mouthful when He said He came not to bring peace, but a sword. The Church should be a family of believers in one accord, but we are far from that.

    Does Free Will Limit God?

That's the heart of Calvinism's fault, God does not always get His way with fallen man. That should first be noticed in the Garden with Adam and Eve.

How Can Man Be Just With God? God Found a Ransom!

I suppose when history is convenient, it's more favorable.

How Can Man Be Just With God? God Found a Ransom!

We're talking about Calvinism, it evolved over time from paganism. Augustine took a thought from Plato, and Calvin finished what Augustine started. The result is what we know today as Calvinism.

How Can Man Be Just With God? God Found a Ransom!

That has been disputed for 500 years.

The Baptists are a mixed bag, shake up the bag and there's no telling what may fall out.
